there are other mods you can use to make him your personal prisoner, i use "crime and punishment" basically you make him a settler and once he shows up at your settlement you build the jail or whatever and place a prisoner marker for him to use and he's forever your prisoner lol.

crime and punishment is way more than just a prisoner mod, it does so much more that i can't explain everything that mod does, all i can say is it does so much to improve the gameplay experience, i have used it's features for various raiders and gunners and put them in a prison camp in my settlement, in many ways it's a lot better than the stupid vanilla story with the Nuka world DLC in how it's handled.

      haha
also if you fast travel in vanilla he'd likely respawn outside of his locked room so your recommended mod is a better go

i have not tried this yet on the pillars of the community, but the AFT mod allows you to do the same thing as the skk recruit mod you mention, making them settlers, so long as the NPC's aren't main character's or have a essential flag on them.

Good! No, none of them is essential. They get protected when converted by this mod into settlers, so they do not die just after recruiting them. Their factions are also changed, of course.

There is a notification showing up in the upper left corner of the screen (a debug notification in fact) telling you how many are available for recruitment. Maximum, I want to remember, there are 9.

Next time you visit the settlement all the settlers are naked and the Pillars you recruited are nowhere to be found.

did you already 'assign' the recruited ones to jobs and beds yet first?
      what did the workshop report?
I move MOST of my vanilla settlers to funner serrlements, but there are a few troublesome ones who don't fully register UNTIL they get assigned to a new job and bed after you get them there, but they stay after that.

Oh, that didn't actually happen, it was a joke on account on how they ask you to give away all your worldly possessions, except your underwear.

Why the hell did I not think about this?
I do not know yet how to do that, well I have a small idea, but I will definitely try to figure it out.

you can physically MOVE an NPC to you if you click on them (in an open console) and write down their REDId's . . then travel to the settlement you want them to come to and open the console with '~' symbol
then enter the following two commands:
      prid REFID <enter>
      moveto player <enter>
then close your console again with the '~' symbol . .
then open your workshop inside your chosen settlement and assign them to a job and bed

there are a few settlers (usually the ones that came WITH the settlement already and are already there) who you will have to WALK with them to the new settlement, and every couple hundred yards stop and move them CLOSER to you again with console repeatedly until you arrive at their destination settlement . .

or if you use LIGA multiple companion system you can recruit those wyyrd ones as companions temporarily order then to follow you then fast travel to the new settlement and DISMISS them to that settlement on arrival then wait a few minutes for the scripts to settle, open the workshop and assign them to a job and bed

That is funny. Could it be as simple as changing the Pillars members' default outfit in the CK? I was going to test this theory, but in my current play-through, Brother Thomas and I had a little disagreement about me joining the movement, and he got kind of violent.
