      Dude, use Tambajumba's Minuteman power armor https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/86697?tab=description.  I am using the mod for the power armor and it works so well with Republic of Boston look.  It is T-45 equivilent, so it keeps the Minuteman a moderately armed force that relies on artillery support and numbers.
