It's an exclusion list so the flare gun is actually being excluded from the +1 mechanic. Uneducated Reload applies the +1 reload to ALL guns, this mod simply applies the exclusion keyword to guns that shouldn't have a +1 reload.
ok understood, it seems when i change weapons from the flare gun and back (also with other vanilla weapons) the extra round unchambers but then when i reload i get the extra round back. so the flare shows 2 loaded. when i shoot the flare gun down to no ammo loaded, reloaded only loads 1 (as expected). any idea why switching weapons causes strange behavior?
The ammo counter resetting when switching weapons is either an issue with the vanilla ammo memory mechanic or Uneducated Reload. For the flare gun, I just tested it and confirmed your issue. Not sure why it happens with the flare gun specifically but I'm not able to reproduce it with other weapons.
its not the end of the world, living with it is fine. thanks for confirming the issue. i do use the flare gun alot to light up areas (not just for minutemen reinforcements)
I had the mod but decided it was such a small feature that I would just remove it instead of patching. Now I realize that many mods like these that work with keywords can be patched via Robco meaning no conflicts that could overwrite the keywords in a plugin are ever possible. Thank you!
