I wish I would have known this would clean out all my DLCs. Not a big hassle but Steam thought they were still installed and it took me a minute to figure out how to get them to re-download.
An updated version to include all DLCs and an optional bit so it wouldn't clean out the creation kit would be excellent.
Yeah, just discovered this myself trying to fix an AAF bug by reinstalling all my mods. This file is 3.5 years old and needs to be updated for both the DLC's and for Windows 10.
For future users (if you read this before using the file) : it doesn't work properly works under windows 10 but just hang with "Not Responding" for like 5-10 minutes, then it quits almost as if it crashed. Your DLC files along with some mod files will be removed, but most mod files will remain.
It removes all DLCs. Steam shows them as installed. To reinstall, right-click Fallout 4 in Steam, properties, Local Files, Verify Integrity of Game files. After checking, Steam will re-download everything missing.
God that just wrong, how it deletes all dlc's some ppl are on limited internet, and can't be downloading dlc's because this thing decides to delete them.. I use falrims tools for mod cleaning if I've removed an old mod ...
This was uploaded here before the DLC's came out, so back then there was no way to prevent it from removing the DLC's as well. And it has not been updated since.
Edit: For anyone reading, use this one instead, it was updated after all the DLC's came out: Fallout 4 Mod Remover
I was thinking to try this cleaner but after reading comments i guess i wont. It would be better if this would move all extra files to separate folder instead of deleting them. Also i agree that it should recognize DLC's and Kreation kit. Otherwise you can just hit delete on FO4 folder and redownload everything from scrach.
this was my mod back in the day I lost access to the 2fa and staff here at nexus said I was out of luck. I remade it for another game and updated a bit https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/83068 if you get stuck or need any help thats the updated bit

The best method may take time, but you are on the safe side. Uninstalling all MODs, you should not be sure if a file belongs to a MOD, delete it too.
Then have the files checked via Steam, then completely secure the FO4 folder.
As I said, it takes time, but it's better than that here.
