I have officially moved on from Nexus modding. All of my mods are free to use, modify, patch, compile, etc. however you see fit, just credit me. I will not be responding to messages - do whatever the hell you want, just don't ask me!
Just a quick update since so many people are asking about Plutonium Creatures. This mod does not affect them but it is possible - what this mod does at the most basic level is create appropriately sized new lights and attaches them the the "armor addon" of glowing creatures. It would be easy enough for someone who takes the initiative and they have my blessing but it is a fair bit of work and I simply do not have the time. There's also no reason such a mod would require this one, as it would simply be applying the same principle from the vanilla engine to the new creatures added by that mod. It was quite a bit of trial-and-error to rig this mod up back in the day, but it still works great and there's no reason the basic idea couldn't work for any other glowy mods.
Last week I saw this elderly woman selling this mod in real life. Physical copies burned onto a CD! I was like WTF this is just a few megabytes, couldn't you hand out QR codes to encrypted zip files on Google Drive or something? Well, turns out this chick does *not* take criticism well at all, in addition to knowing martial arts... she beat me up so badly, I made up this story about getting robbed to tell my mates to explain my bruises.
She was like 1 meter tall, but she moved so fast! I can't help but think how much more money she could make as a bodyguard than as someone selling Fallout mods from 2016 in some side alley, but maybe it's not even about the money for her, maybe she's just twisted like that. I wonder if I could fix her.
It is normal to add an identifying adjective in the english language to a person without other specifics. "Vault-tec Salesman" in the game is an example of this. I can understand that you might find your people to be targeted since this individual is probably babbling nonsense but through a language barrier there is nothing else left to describe on to people but their specifics which are easily identified (like nation). "British Prime Minister" could be replaced by the name of the person holding that office, yet in this case because it is either obvious to the reader who that is or they will feel forced to investigate. I am unsure how that works in mandarin but it will keep happening all the time, nobody thinks "all chinese are this" but "this chinese individual is doing this" in an implication like this.
Looks like there won't be any more updates, so let me just tell everyone what I saw, and if you've run xEdit / FO4Edit on this plugin you've seen it too.
0xC9793 BloodbugButtAdultGlow is missing the DNAM Art Type. I copied it ("Magic Hit Effect") over from Fallout4.esm.
[eta I see someone has already uploaded a fix. Awesome, thanks.]
fyi, there is some weird fo4edit quick auto clean error about out order stuff, i fixed it by opening the esp in CK and saving it. this is the esp i used: Glowing Animals Emit Light - ALL DLC
Hey, I made it so the Beast Master - Exotic Creatures patch works with the new merged main file here (that requires DLC). Link is here if you want it. The version of this patch that you have posted requires the separate Far Harbor plugin, whereas mine doesn't (it does require Far Harbor DLC still of course).
The patch requires all of the DLC, which folks like me don't have. There's not an option for those who don't have all the DLC, so a mod like this gives me happy little glow-bugs.
I used to hate glowing radroaches, but now I love them! I put their carcasses on the outskirts of my settlements as non-electric light sources to mark the 'city limits'.
hmmmm... im curious as well at this point of fo4's lifespan...
i'm one of those who got the goty version(which means i should also have all the dlc's) and also using the unofficial patch.... so i'm wondering as well if i still need this mod or this mod becomes redundant..... any insights are greatly appreciated...
I think the Unofficial Patch only adds some glowing to their skin, whereas this mod adds actual lightsource. This mod also affects a few more creatures than the UnofPatch
There is a one file overlap with UFO4P, namely: FEVHound_g.dds The one in the UFO4P is 1k (1024x1024), 682 kb, whereas the one in this mod is 2k (2048x2048), 2.66 mb;
Hey, future man here. They made a Fallout TV show which spiked popularity in the dead game, their sales spiked, and so did their prices. Bethesda jacked up their GOTYE Edition to $80 to capitalize on the influx of returning players. So.. yeah, some folks don't feel like spending a ton of money on a 10 year old game that the novelty will wear off in a few weeks once they realize the show is actually terrible lol. (NGL, though, we all love The Ghoul)
Do we know if this ever got applied to Oswald? my last playthough was essentially broken by him not wanting to spawn at all, leading to several attempted reinstalls with constant ctd on start after one of the big updates bethesda put out. I'm finally trying again on a new pc and dont want to run into the issue again, and can't think of anything else i use that would affect him.

Can you customize this mod for me to suit my overly specific request?
No.
Can you add a bunch of extra stuff that will make this mod buggy, script-heavy, and messy?
No.
Can you make this unrelated mod I thought of?
No.
Can you make a patch for X mod?
If I use it, maybe. If not, no.
Will you bring this mod to consoles?
If possible, yes. If not, no.
This mod is pointless, and I'm going to explain why at length.
Don't bother. Also, this is not a question.
This mod is not lore-friendly, and I'm going to explain why at length.
See above.

I know these comments are years old, but just in case anyone new happens along:
There IS a "no DLC" version if you click on the Files tab.
The one in the UFO4P is 1k (1024x1024), 682 kb, whereas the one in this mod is 2k (2048x2048), 2.66 mb;
