No Player Archetypes is a mod that removes the two keywords in the Creation Kit that restrict the player character's animations: AnimArchetypePlayer and AnimFaceArchetypePlayer when engaging in dialogue with NPCs.
You might have noticed that the player character sometimes appears stiff standing in a robotic stance and maintaining flat facial expressions when idling or speaking, especially when no FaceArchetype preset is applied in dialogue. This could even be seen as a subtle nod to the possibility of being a Synth paired with no meaningful dialogue.
By removing these restrictions, the player can now use animations typically reserved for NPCs, making conversations feel more natural. The player will react and move more dynamically during dialogue, creating a more immersive experience. While the change is subtle, it enhances the liveliness of the player character’s interactions. You will also be headtracking when dialogue scenes are happening.
You will notice new idle animations when loading into a new or current save.
The mod comes in two versions, one of which includes the PowerArmorPreventArmorDamageKeyword, preventing power armor from taking damage during combat if you prefer that option.
