Remember as per the readme/front page if you have brown faces its a texture size problem, please use the no face gen version and see if that helps. If neither versions help then you need to download 2k (or whatever size) child textures, I assume the modder who made the 2k version provided you with child textures but if not you can try the textures here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16289?tab=posts
Forgive my ignorance but does your "killable children" patch require the mod "Killable Children" or is it independent of it? Would this mod still work with Mortal Youths - Killable Children Lite (which I have been using) or if the latter is true, make it redundant?
Hopefully I worded that coherently enough but thank you either way for your work. <3
Wasteland Brats Killable Children, is a patch that requires just Wasteland brats. Do not use my mods with any other child editing mods unless there is a patch (adding new children is fine), because they will likely conflict.
So do not use any other killable children mods other then my patch.
All of them look great but I'm particularly in love with the raglan T shirts and the baseball caps. Would make great casual outfits so that the average wastelander doesn't look so plain looking
Well good news those are the most likely to get adult versions, no plans just yet but it is something I hope to work on after my raider children overhaul.
This combined with Elwin's improved meshes finally puts the kiddos on par in fidelity with the adults. Such a small thing, but makes a big difference in populated areas.
It's probably a load order thing, but ever since I started using this Mod all of my children have stranger red bands around their throats and no facial animations.
I am using XCell, and Horrors of the Commonwealth, Brats is loaded after them. I don't think I have any other mods which affect children.
Perhaps its Xcell, I dont use it and really know nothing about it other then it required facegen. Are you using any mods that edit npc children other then Raider children?
Hi ! A very well done mod ! The outfits look so cool ! Lore friendly, lots of details, customizations and pip-boy friendly. The new haircuts ! There were so few options before, but now we have so many new possibilities ! The skin details, the new faces, the modernization of models... All this stuff now allows for much greater diversity and, above all, allows for more creativity when creating NPCs and for the player customization (ty for this Custom Playable Children patch).
I could say a lot more but I'll just say that for an initial release it's already very impressive ! Thanks a lot for this work <3
Of course ! I posted two pictures, hope you like. Occasionally I will take pictures of the other children we meet in the game to show the changes you have made on them.
I didnt include any face textures in this mod, that is up to the modders who made 2k textures to replace all the vanilla ones. You can try the link in the Pinned comment right above your post to try those textures if you want.
If you DO have 2k child face textures just use the no facegen option.
This would also be a great mod to learn how to edit textures for yourself as well.
Some of the kids have purple textures on their heads, and I’m not sure why. I’m using the Facegen version. Do you have any ideas? I noticed this issue with purple textures on Phil Wallace and Wally Warwick. Could this be an AMD thing?
Also, sometimes Kat is talking, but her lips don’t move.
That looks like a missing hair texture, which is odd since I only used vanilla hair textures. As for Kat that happens when you have a mod that edits the same npc with facegen.
You could try the no facegen or you can see which mod is editing her too. Also see if you have any mods editing child hair or race. These kinds of mods need patches.
Okay, the purple textures only occur if I have X-Cell installed. Now if I use the No Facegen with X-Cell, there will be no changes at all to the children.
As for Kat, it is in fact I don't have other mod that edits her facegen.
Are all the new hairs completely vanilla (or at least based on vanilla)? The pictures suggest so. I just want to clarify because I don't want other assets like KS Hair as they look out of place.

I always love pictures of my stuff, would you post it in my mods gallery?

Thanks again ! :)

With Kat any mod that edits her at all could be causing the problem.
