Standalone release of the Handmade Laser Rifle, an energy version of the Nuka World Handmade Rifle, which will feature in the upcoming quest mod, Mind Games. If you're not familiar with Mind Games, it's a quest mod that follows the story of Nick Valentine and Kellogg, while you unravel a new detective case. You can check out a demo of it here.
Features:
A new energy weapon based on the Nuka World Handmade Rifle with 36 attachments. The weapon uses a modified version of the vanilla Handmade Rifle animations, but otherwise it stays true to the original.
ESL flagged, so it won't take up a slot in your load order.
Lore:
One of the new companions in Mind Games is a weaponsmith who carries a Handmade Rifle when you meet her. Later in the story, she decides to upgrade it by turning it into an energy weapon, using SCIENCE! to convert the bolt into a combined kinetic energy recycler and heat venting system. And she makes an extra one for the player.
How to get:
Because the weapon is meant to be acquired at a specific point in the Mind Games story, it hasn't been added to any leveled lists here. Instead, it's craftable at a chem bench under the category "Handmade Laser Rifle". This requires Rank 2 Science! and Rank 3 Gun Nut.
Requirements:
- Fallout 4 version 1.10.163 or later (in other words, old-gen and next-gen are both fine)
- Far Harbor and Nuka World
The animations are independent of the vanilla ones, and therefore this does not require a right-handed patch if you are using a right-handed replacer for the vanilla handmade rifle.
