    Is there a way to make the paint apply to the tesla variant pieces on the X-02/APA2 armor?

      Well the tesla variant uses it's own textures and the original paintjob mod didn't make alternative textures for them.
      You'd have to go to the original mod page and ask FirePonk if he's willing to make an update for that.

    Hello, I have a bit of an issue trying to load the mod. it says as a requirement that it needs the original one but when I run them together, the paints for this one don't show up and only one of the original ones shows up on AR2 npcs. Could you tell me exactly how you need to load this in order for it to apply for both hellfire troopers and X02, and replace the x-01 entirely? Thank you

      It's mainly set as a requirement to reference the original mod, it's pretty much only a requirement if you wanna run the ECS patch with the original AR2 Logo version.
      If you want the OG Logo version, you just need that and the ECS patch, you can't have both OG and AR2 version at the same time, they use the same naming and one will end up overriding the other.
      As for load order you can let your mod manager handle it, shouldn't bring you much trouble.
      If you want the X-01 gone you can get one of the ECS Replacers or even the ECS Replacer of my Remnant Armor mod since that changes static models and terminal line references too.

      Yeah, now that I've learnt it's something achievable while working on the Classic Remnant AR2 mod I'll look into updating this to include that.
      Btw have you been able to get through the LOOT problem you experienced?

      Ah, I just removed the ESL flag from the ESP in xEdit and it's fine. I noticed that all other ECS patches for the X-02 are also not ESL.

      Okay the update is out, I also think I figured out what the issue with the LOOT error was, check it out and let me know if it's fixed.

      Niceee. Turns out I had to do the compact ID through Creation Kit to have it properly work, xEdit struggles with recompacting if you make new forms.

      Oh do you already have a a savefile past the upgrades? You could try making the soldiers respawn through console commands to see if they armor will eventually pop up.

      So, just to be sure, did you need to get the Army Depot manual for the paints like the original mod? It only showed up after getting the Handbook in the Army Depot, and that should be stated in the description because I am dumb and thought it was only a requirement for the original mod.

      Yeah it's pretty much a copy of the original mod with different textures so you can freely swap from one to the other.
      Will update the description to mention the Handbook to avoid any possible future misunderstandings with it.

    to be absolutely clear this mod does the same thing as the official AR2 cc power armour patches but with either the AR2 paint or the OG paint from the paint mod

      Yep, that's exactly what the mod does. The only difference with the official AR2 cc power armor patches is that the X-02 has been renamed to APA II to be more accurate to the lore. The Enclave wouldn't use a prototype version of their armor if they had already finalized it in the past.

    If I want to use the New Paints, should they overwrite the Originals from the America Rising 2 - CC Hellfire and X-02 Enclave Power AR2 Armor Paintjobs ? And will the NPCs be able to use them?

      If you want to use the OG Logo versions yeah, you'll have to make it overwrite the Originals.
      They're structured in the same way with the same IDs, the idea is for you to be able to switch on and off from the AR2 to OG version and viceversa through the mod manager and have it update in the game without any conflicts like needing to rebuild the paint.

    For "America Rising 2 CC X02 Painjob ECS.esp", I get this warning with LOOT

    "This plugin contains records that have FormIDs outside the valid range for an ESL plugin. Using this plugin will cause irreversible damage to your game saves."

      That's pretty weird, I downloaded and tested out the ECS Add through Vortex and it didn't give such error messages.
      Does the Replacer mod give the same kind of error? And what about the Hellfire ones?

      Hellfire is fine (standard and replacer).

      But for the X-02 both the standard and the replacer give the same error.

      You probably shouldn't flag them as ESL.

      It's pretty weird since the Hellfire is flagged as ESL too yet that works perfectly fine for you.
      If I removed the ESL flag the Vortex's LOOT gives an error of being unable to assign a proper order due to the masters, so really unsure on how to fix the problem for you.

      OK, I'll try to figure it out and remove the ESL flag. I assume the renaming to "APA II" is causing this.

      According to the log the only IDs that are correct should be those from the template plugin for the ECS patch.
      I also gave it a check on xEdit and it doesn't even give the option to compact form IDs, so according to xEdit everything is good apparently.
