For an unknown reason, the recently added glass windows may cause a CTD in the build menu when selected. It worked just yesterday and today I crashed as reported :( I removed the colliders from the windows, which fixed the issue. The glass windows are thus no longer bulletproof. Sorry for the inconvenience.
I haven't heard or seen any issues that would result in crashing. Deducting from your post, it is apparent that the mod is not the culprit, "it crashes "after a while" and "especially" indicate that the issue is not caused by my mod but rather a combination of things. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with workshop related issues. I for example crash, when I scroll too fast in workshop but it is completely fine otherwise.
I'll eat my hat but for some reason, scrolling the glass window elements is now causing a CTD. I have no explanation on why this is suddenly happening. For now, delete Cinderwindowglass and Cinderwindowglassdmg.nif from \meshes\architecture\CoGaTe, this will fix the crashes temporarily.
Thank you. I have considered it but honestly, I rather focus on doing my own thing than trying to ride the hype train. I have 2 master degrees in communication but I hate to communicate ;) I believe its your job to advertise what is good and condemn what is bad. So feel free to upload screenshots, post, endorse etc. to give it more recognition.
I tested my 6 year old mod and it still works as intended. There is no CTD caused by my mod alone. If you crash, I would assume it has something to do with a mod that changes something in the building menu maybe? The mod by itself works just fine. I used it with 500+ mods back in the day and never crashed. But I haven't modded Fallout 4 since then, so I'm not up to date and have no idea why this would happen.
I like the wall, though I do have a better concrete block wall, this has its uses. The only issue is, if I need to make my section of walls just a little longer by switching to long wall segments, the snapping for the long walls always overlaps and I have to unlock snapping or use console to get the right placement. Also, I cant find the corner block... so no 90 degree snapping for me still. Also, sometimes it just doesnt want to let me snap 180 (straight line) which isn't the end of the world since I can nudge it this way and that with commands and Place Everywhere, but the overall wonky-ness of the snapping leaves some to be desired.
Hi, this is a very old mod which was created using rudimentary methods without proper tools in particular 3ds max plugins required for creating custom colliders etc. Thus, while not perfect, it used to work quite well back in the day. Sorry for late reply ;)
glad to see youre still working on this! might i suggest adding an injection script so it doesnt conflict with other workshop menus or adding SKE compatibility so it moves there. This is help people who do and do not own DLC
Im afraid thats beyond my cababilities in scripting, I currently try to find help for creating collision meshes with the Bethesda 3ds plugin to make new parts.
i love this idea and i fully agree with you. BUT i would go alittle fuller by adding half walls, standing up and going across. and also add a few windows. tho i never did understand why we dont have the ablity to chreaply make MUD brick walls or w/e its all laying around and same for rock walls.. rocks everywhere.. =/ pr junk walls you could use for building or scrapy wood metal doors. (look like junk fenchs. never understood why we have hole doors to use they just dont fit in the lore per-say..
I will pick up the mod sometime and add more content to it, hopefully it is easier now with GECK, back in the day I dropped it due to frustration with handling the collision meshes, which was basicly a hundred times trial error.
