    UPDATE!
Tonights update took me all day ha ha. Please keep a copy of your 1.0 version just in case something went wrong, there's a lot of files to test and I did my best but keep a copy of your working version just in case :).

    Highlights:

    • Updated existing male and female voices. If you've edited them they will retain their good looks but their voice might not change. If you haven't their voices will now be different so all your settlers don't sound the same.
    • Now includes some elderly voiced settlers so you can make friendly cafeteria ladies etc. These may be missing some voice lines in base game (Thanks for the note rsm000rsm!).
    • Now includes ghoul settlers with ghoul voices. I may add 5 more ghouls if you guys are really into them.

Sorry if I am dumb but how do you modify their appearance with LooksMenu?

Click them in console and type showlooksmenu <their id>. Don't forget to type tai first to keep them still....and to tai when done.

Just an FYI, but the male/female "Old" voice type does not have recorded voice lines for the full range of settler dialog, resulting in silent dialog in some cases.

Ahh thank you! I didn't know that. I wonder why no one has patched that in.

Vanilla recruit beacon settlers don't use the "Old" voice types, so no patch is needed. One of the County Crossing settlers uses it, and the couple at Greentop Nursery use it, too, but all three must be in some way blocked from attempting to speak the voice lines that lack recorded dialog. The instance that I discovered is with rescue dialog, which doesn't account for the male/female "old" voice type. This would come into play if a settler with that voice type is kidnapped, so apparently the three settlers noted can't be targeted by the "Kidnapping at..." radiant quest.

Hmm how do I find the voicelines? Maybe I can use falltalk to make a patch. I love the idea of nice lunch ladies and I don't want to give that up ha ha.

Dialog lines are found in the "quest" section (if you're using fo4edit), but they're spread all over on a quest-by-quest basis. I don't know where the recorded voice files are located.

      PS: A little issue.
I downloaded the female file verion.
But Vortex tell me that the plug in demonds both the Settlerbuildermoremales.esl in addtion to the settlerbuildermorefemales.esl
So its giving me an error code for missing masters even though I do have the .esl for the female steels as a master for the plug in.

PS: 8 endorsements and 150 unique downloads for such a niche product ( a patch to a settlement mod) in only 24 hrs,  shows there was some pent up demand for this.
I had suspected, it wasnt just me, who was interetsed in this

Maybe redownload, Nexus was having some weirdness right before I logged off last night and not downloading mods properly. The file is there if you click preview contents and I just used the install mod feature of mod manager and it installed ok.

      Did you get a popup?

Yea, I did. I also got in game. And saw that the mod was active, I had more female settlers. Not sure why it wouldnt show up in the load order. It does work though.

If you're on MO2 sometimes you have to hit the refresh button. Glad you got it working!

Does this include ghouls, robots (for the Automatron crowd) and factions such as CoA for Glowing Sea settlements?

Ha ha ha no these are just regular settlers like settler builder has, clones like it says in the description. I might be able to add ghouls and possibly FH/NW settlers but I doubt I can add automaton or custom factions.
