    Locked
    Sticky
    v2.3 out now!

2 more planes and some "balance" changes. Still very powerful, but Zetan Launcher base damage has been slightly reduced due to the extra projectile damage from the spawned projectiles. Standard Zetan Launcher remains the same.

Beluga - Explodes like a whale with very high force!
Private Jet - 0 damage, non-hostile, may spawn caps, not responsible for anybody in the area fighting each other over bottlecaps!

i hopped up on the parking garage by the airport and proceeded to bomb the daylights out of the ghouls. and when i launched the B29, it flew off into the distance past the airport and after quite some time i could see the beginning of the explosion... then i was flying backwards getting my ass fried. seriously? duck and cover !!! i am not sure there is any safe way to use that monster.
     "these are using different projectiles"
i got No boom-boom from some of my launchers. does this mean my stock of mini nukes don't automatically work for the different planes? then i saw a little 747 on the counter in the settlement zone and didn't even think to check if i had ammo. just assumed my stock of mini nukes would work for all variants...
FYI Read the description and follow instructions; they are there for a reason. both to keep us safe from self-destruction and to make play more fun. (face-palm)
maybe make this a sticky for us thick headed players

Haha Fallout 4 can be pretty weird with explosive damage. In one of the update videos, a Raider was 100% protected by a stop sign, yet I have been killed by explosions around a wall while tanking explosions nearly in my face. Also, is there a chance that the B29 hit something before it was able to drop the bomb? It uses the same projectile spawning method as the MIRV, and if the MIRV prematurely detonates, it will blow up in your face because Bethesda thought it would be a good idea to keep the projectile node at the barrel of the weapon until it splits... And your normal mini-nukes should be working as I have not made any separate ammo types yet (don't think I will), other than the easter egg plane I added. I will look into it and make sure that the launchers are still using the correct ammo. There's always a chance I edited the wrong thing and didn't notice.
  3. I wonder if this'll work with my fatman screaming sound replacer or if it uses different projectiles and thus won't work

Yeah, these are using different projectiles. All using different sound banks from each other, too.

i love the idea with the B29. i mean the Boeing 'bomb' is funny/cool too. my issue using the fatman was the range and less that stellar damage. too many enemies were walking away while i was stunned.
you state these do more damage with greater range. like 10 ft or like 100 yards? if you are going to mini nuke something it better have good range and devastating damage.
Fallout 4 Deathclaw main characterπŸ’€ this is what i'm talking about among others

Damage is only slightly higher, but range is a lot more than the regular Fatman since I increased the speed and reduced the effect of gravity. I don't have the exact distance, but the MIRV version is most noticeable as the vanilla MIRV has pretty terrible range.

I think my versions feel a lot better to use, at least from my experience playing around with them. I may increase the damage a little more, though, since I want some kind of balance but also want to make sure they're way more fun.

Let me know if they still feel too weak!

not a good test but i was so excited to share. so i finally went to vault 111 control box to pick-up my new toy as they were holding the FFL and my waiting period was over. i quickly headed north a few paces and loaded it up and aimed for the sky... well for the valley in the distance. and let fly... and... it,  it WAS GLORIOUS !! that plane shot out gliding... No Flying... off into the distance and... nothing?...??πŸ˜† .... KA BOOM. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜ŽπŸ˜Ž... this is gonna be fun 😏
now i just need to mod this thing into a B29 and go carpet bomb the ghouls at the airport.

oh, i almost forgot.  KUDOS BABY. the best weapon 'overhaul' EVER. (see people, that's how it's done. when you are grateful for the efforts of another)
although it does feel a little weird in 1st person with this Massive plane on my shoulder...
when i was a kid they sold Big Styrofoam planes with a big rubber band launcher on a stick... this feels the same, except it has a big 'ol runway on it.
edit; now i see you doubled down on the runway... and chance of making a version without the runway and like just a 'stick' with 'invisible rubber bands'. minimalist fatman. it is the bomber that is the true hero in this story

I don't currently have guaranteed plans for that, but since you asked, I will give it some more thought! I do want to make a similar mod with the missile launcher with various fighter jets/planes attached to the missile launcher sort of like that.

that sounds cool too. yah, since i have been using this a lot more because it is fun to use the fatman now, that huge ass runway in my view is frustrating when in battle with masses of enemies. it's a playstyle of mine to sometimes amp-up the number and level and variety of enemies and find new ways to bring mass destruction on them. and that runway ,,, gets in the way. and a bit of hit to my frame rate, just makes me a bit frustrated. i mean i'll still use it, it's fun. but for me that would mean i would have to tone down the challenge. not bragging but with my brain damage more than 5 enemies at a time is a challenge... it's a brain exercise that stimulates cognitive function. can't stop thinking but i can't remember either. so i do things over and over again to develop brain 'muscle' memory.

How do you replace a scripted mesh with a custom mesh without breaking original mesh's scripted function ?

In short, in Creation Kit, you'd duplicate and rename the MIRV barrel mod FormIDs, projectile/explosion FormIDs, and then edit the NIFs of those duplicated FormIDs where it's needed.

question will this work with the MIRV upgrade that turns one mini nuke into 6 and will it work with the fatman knw as bigboy?

For the MIRV, not at the moment, but I could easily do that. Do you want more planes? As for Big Boy, it should work the same.

Edit: Updated! Let me know if there is anything you'd like!

yea make it work for the MIRV cause if you put the MIRV on the big boy fatman it turns 2 mini nukes into 12 mini nukes so with your mod it would be 12 planes
