In that case, since I don’t know the cause, I’m unable to provide a solution. It’s difficult to fix a bug unless I can reproduce it. I hope you understand.
Edit: I didn’t mention it in the requirements, but if you're not using MCM, I believe the display will not appear.
same here, you're not alone. i can change the colors in mcm, but no menu pops up for me to move the widget. shame because where it pops up interferes with my UI.
edit: Does it not switch to adjustment mode even after opening and closing the console in the NPC trade state? I tried to make it switch using a hotkey, but implementing it is not easy. If the mode still does not switch as described, please let me know. It might be a bit inconvenient to use, but I'll try to make it possible to switch to adjustment mode using a console command.
There's not really anything that "pops up" when you're in widget placement mode. You open and close the console while the trade interface is open, and then your mouse can only move the widget, until you open and close the console again. The only indicator for "placement mode" is that your mouse can't click anything, and can only move the widget.
Why doesn't this work in NG? Am searching for this kind of feature for my LIGA team. As it stands I never know how much they can carry until I add that last item. Was hoping I could use Companion Status and swap out the useless Action Points for Carry Weight but the scripting is beyond me unfortunately. Thanks for your effort just the same though.
To determine the carry weight, you need to check the owner of the currently opened container, which is not possible with Papyrus. This requires using F4SE to implement the mod, but unfortunately, I lack the skills to create an F4SE mod for NG. I appreciate your understanding.
