Turns Bedford Station into a potential settlement. My first published mod, and my first settlement mod. So far it has worked for me, but please let me know if you run into any issues!
Numerous items are scrappable, with precombines and previs fixed. A number of the trash and paper bits have been linked to nearby objects, so you shouldn't need to scrap a bunch of tiny items. To activate the workbench, you'll need to kill the ghouls infesting it.
Known problems/concerns:
- For some reason, even with previs regenerated, scrapping the big orange boxcar will create an area where visibility gets weird when walking into it. I would recommend either not scrapping it, or putting something big there to replace it.
- Many items require some sort of scrapping mod. The only one I use is Place Everywhere with extra object selection.
- I included the warehouse, but not the switching station. There's a reason for that - previs. Previs is done in clusters of 3x3 cells, and parts of Starlight Drive-In are in the same 3x3 cluster as the southern parts of Bedford station. I wanted to reduce compatibility issues with any mods that touch that (for example, I use Rebuild Collection) so I avoided those southern cells. To compensate, the build area stretches back behind the station to encompass the small shack.
- Bedford Station is close to both Starlight Drive and Tenpines Bluff. The "triangle of death" phenomenon can apply here, as well, particularly if you increase your grid loading size. I suggest not building up all three of these too much, else standing in Bedford Station could crash your game.
