Great Mod!! Thank you! One issue I did have was that I tried to run it (UI version) from the desktop, would start up alright but couldn't complete making the mod. But oh WOW after I moved it onto a hard drive it has worked perfectly since! Oh and don't forget to add them to your Mod list. If you use vortex like me - then just click on the Mods tab then drag & drop where it says "Drop File(s)" and yes to add them as just this file. Good luck and happy watching!!
Can anyone help with a tutorial on how to use this? Currently playing FO4 again and I followed the original VOTW tutorials before. I don't know where to start with this program.
It is tricky. But it works. How I got it to work was trial and error. Got the first vid to show up but couldn't figure out how to add 10 vids into a single esp ;) Too high to explain but after about 4 hours it worked. I will try to reverse engineer ;)
It does work well. I've made mods off of it. And they work. But I'm gay so you can imagine what I was up to You have to make sure the video is under 10 minutes as far as my trial and error results. Then when you get a bunch of vids that meet that criteria. Select each one under Input Path by holding the control key and clicking on the vids you want to convert. There will be a mod name at the top and put whatever the hell you want as long as it's very short like under 10 characters. The other fields I left alone. Then I hit start and a lot of popups started but they make sense and let them do the conversion process. And if you select a lot then it may longer depending on the setup you have. When it's done there is an output folder. It will have a VotW_test.esp along with folders. Right click over the output folder and condense or convert or zip as they say into a zip file. Load it using a mod manager and it should work great. The crafted holotapes should be under the Misc tab in the PipBoy at the very bottom
This is HORRIFYING. 4 hours with 'Trial and Error',,, then 6 hours to get working some videos?? Spending HALF OF A DAY to have a working video file?? Did you do your hard'n sweaty work via DOS Command (CLI file) or with the User Interface (.exe) file? IF it really takes up 10 (TEN) hours to get a working video file... NO! This is not for me.
It Just Works. Great job, creating this ever so useful tool. I love it. Easy to figure out. But the 2 fields that you use for editing an existing file is a bit confusing at first. I left those blank and created a new plugin. It seemed to work as intended. So I opened my game after installing, said plug-in, and was totally happy to see that the .esp I created, using your system worked without a hitch. Very grateful, highly endorsed. I can finally have whatever video I want in my game, without the confusing tedious process using the old method. Deepest respect, for taking the time to create this for the masses. By the way. I used an .mp4 file that was about 4-5 min. long and took in to account the television ratio being the old standard 3/4 640x480 and not the standard these days of 16x9 Widescreen. 1080. Sound worked fine as well.
If you're anxious to try it, this is also uploaded to the other site that is less SFW. (I'm not sure whether I can give a link or say the name as the rest of the site isn't as family friendly as this application)
Other sites will show up at the top of a Google search for “fallout 4 AutoVideo”. I already got it, but hopefully the restrictions will be lifted soon.

I confirm, that would be a significant plus. ^^
