wow this is exactly the feature I didnt know I needed, really helps balance all these quest mods and otherwise that add companions that dont take up a companion slot, great job as always skk!
How does this work when you have 'quest companions'? AKA, when you're doing the ArcJet quest with Danse, Castle re-taking with Preston, etc.? Do they still charge you even though you haven't actually asked them to be your meatshie- err, companions? Hahaha I'm assuming this only works whenever you yourself actually ask them to come with you, but better safe than sorry. Moreso given how strange/finnicky this game can be with how it handles NPCs accompanying you at any given time.
Hello. Thank you very much for the mod. Works well with Aft and lot of follower mods and addons. I think it is very immersive feature- companions finnaly get some "share".. Can i ask? It is possible to remove "the hire block and message"? Just taking the money from you/player after day and anoyed leaving if player have no cash..but with no block and message for "continuing the journey".. will be perfect and very imo i think. It would be far more immersive if companions start a dialog themselves with proper sounding lines like 'pay pal', 'pay me you bastard' so that the player would have a choice, say once a week. Otherwise, it looks like they obtain some kind of electronic settlements system.
Oh, I would, honestly. If only I could... Mod authors increasingly use AI to sound npcs since I suppose no one likes to pay. Or, in a hardcore way, silent lines. Are voiceless mods in the past now? Anyway, seems you're trying to make the Lone Wanderer perk great again.

I used a similar mod, Years ago on Skyrim. Glad something similar has come to Fallout 4...

3. Additional Costs for leaving them, after they get knocked down.
4. Dogmeat Paid in Meat
5. Debt incurred for Companions who are off doing other stuff... - Preston Gravy... careful when he runs off to The Castle, you're still paying. - Paladin Danse... when he runs off, and leaves you. Also... at the end of his missions. You could be paying for dead weight, no Companion, all the Debt... - Lost Companions... you told them to Wait, and forgot to tell them to follow again. Forgetting where they are... I've done this a lot...
6. Marriage Costs... You gotta pay for all your Wives, or Husbands. Even when not Travelling with them...
The vanilla companions don't really "put up with" anything (except for dogmeat), so this mod would make more sense if paying money on time can make them stop disliking the player just for some sacarstic comments or accidental steals.

If there are any which do not you will need to be careful with your caps.
This hard core fiscal enforcer does not provide any RPG protection, its on you to manage your money.
If you can't then best not use this solution.
