Q: What is this? A: This is a tool for generating and patching BodyGen files.
Q: BodyGen? A: In essence, BodyGen is a system that (once configured and set-up) allows you to have a diverse game world where all the NPCs have different body shape(s) than the Player's body.
Q: Generating vs Patching BodyGen files? A: In order to experience BodyGen properly, you must build all the meshes (clothes/outfits) using Zeroed-sliders body preset (preset that has all the sliders set to 0). The problem is that I, personally, have a bunch of specifically-modified meshes that simply cannot be 'just re-built'. This tool bypasses (patches) the generated files and grants you the ability to enjoy BodyGen without needing to re-build all the meshes with Zeroed-sliders body preset.
Q: What's the difference between SC and FD editions of the tool? A: As stated in the official docs, both editions offered are identical in terms of options they offer. The only difference between the two is that FD edition requires .NET 8.0 (FD = Framework Dependant) whereas SC edition has no requirements (SC = Self Contained).
Q: I find it difficult to operate the tool! A: That's not a question. Read the usage guide, I wrote the guide as simple and as easy to follow as possible.
Q: The documentation is complicated! A: It really isn't - I get it that the topic is complex, but I like to explain things very easily. I don't want to offend anyone, but the guide is written in such a way that even a 5-year-old could follow it.
Q: Where / how do I report issues? A: I'm active on all 3 sites (GitHub, Nexus, LoversLab). I would love if you could open an issue on GitHub, but because not everyone has the account there, you can ask for support or report the issues here or on the Nexus page of the mod. Q: False positives A: It's possible that the downloaded files get flagged as false positives. In such cases, try to download the tool from GitHub Releases. If that doesn't work, simply add an exception or temporarily disable your antivirus software.
Q: TLDR Steps A: Sure. In a nutshell, do the following:
Download and install LooksMenu
Download a few BodySlide body presets and save their XML files somewhere
Use PowerMorph Generator to generate and (optionally) patch the generated files (patching is only available if you generate files first and load the body preset XML that you've used to build all the meshes)
Once PowerMorph generation is done, regardless if you patched the files or not, you will have morphs.ini and templates.ini files
Simply copy-paste (or cut-paste) both of these files into a new mod (create empty new mod in MO2; I don't know how to do that in Vortex, sorry)
In that empty new mod, create directories F4SE/Plugins/F4EE/BodyGen/Fallout4.esm and paste the morphs.ini and templates.ini files into the Fallout4.esm directory

great mod, I finally get this kind of mods work with yours(others too hard to use) ,but now I have a error, I check "disable morph in player" but seems it didn‘t work, my player character still be morphed ..
If the option 'Disable morphs on Player' was checked upon generation, your morphs.ini contains the following line: Fallout4.esm|7=[exclude_from_bodygen]
That [exclude_from_bodygen] is what's most important - this indicates that the option works. I know this doesn't sound helpful, but you'll need to provide your morphs, templates and F4EE log. Check out the reporting bugs and issues Wiki page!
As far as I know, BodyGen can be 'started' whenever you want - just make sure it wasn't active on your save before.
If you followed the documentation I provided, and are still facing issues - please provide your generated (and patched) morphs.ini, templates.ini and F4EE.log files. The F4EE.log (LooksMenu log) can be found in Documents/My Games/Fallout4/F4SE/f4ee.log. Alternatively (and preferably), you can copy and paste the content of both morphs.ini and templates.ini to an external service, such as Pastebin, and simply provide the link.
Just so we're clear - you checked the 🐞 Reporting Bugs and Issues page on the Wiki, right? Your issue seems more related to BodyGen than PowerMorph Generator tool.
Everything seems okay on your end - both INI files are valid. F4EE has only a single warning - that being for Player Character, but that's okay; you can safely ignore it (that's the only way to disable morphs on Player).
So all in all, BodyGen definitely should work on your existing save. How are you testing it? Try to visit a dungeon occupied by Raiders (any dungeon you have not yet cleared) and check results there on female Raiders.
Also, and this is somewhat important - the difference will not be visible if all the body presets are similar to one another. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Overall, it should certainly work. If it doesn't, you can try doing the following:
Navigate to your F4SE\Plugins directory and open f4ee.ini
Make sure your BodyMorph section looks like this: [BodyMorph] ; Enables loading of tri files and morphing meshes bEnable=1 bEnableBodyGen=1 ; Enables loading bodygen files to randomize actor sliders uMaxCache=2147483648 bParallelShapes=1
It's crucial that you have these two: bEnable=1 and bEnableBodyGen=1both set to 1.
If it's already like that, change them to: bEnable=0 and bEnableBodyGen=0, then save the file.
Load the save and once you're in the game, wait a few real-life minutes, then save and exit the game.
Open f4ee.ini again and change bEnable=0 to bEnable=1 and bEnableBodyGen=0 to bEnableBodyGen=1
Are you running custom races? Asking because I've seen a couple of modded races in your F4EE.log. If you are - the BodyGen will not work. Reason being - in morphs.ini, it is specified which races the changed bodies apply to. To make it work for custom races, you'll need to copy that block and replace HumanRace with the races you want. Take this as an example: All|Female|CustomRace1=Body Preset 1|Body Preset 2 All|Female|CustomRace2=Body Preset 3|Body Preset 4 ... and so on Do this instead and report back!
Custom Racesare a bit tricky - I've been running a few of them but ultimately ditched them for vanilla Human Race because it makes most sense (at least to me).
Regarding replying - not a problem! You needed help because you ran into an issue, and have provided all the necessary info regarding your issue (both INI files + LooksMenu log). Of course, I'll help you! I don't know everything, but I can share my knowledge and what I know - it's what modding should be all about!

Everything worked, got it up and running without any issues, thx. The only thing I couldn't get to work were a few outfits due to how their meshes are split but can't don anything about that. Servitron and a few of TheKite's clothing mods just don't work well with BodyGen which is a shame.
Ahh, I know! I'm using a couple of TheKite's outfits and they aren't working. However, that's not the issue of BodyGen - it's the outfits. For some reason (I don't know, didn't research the topic further), morphs don't work on TheKite's outfits.
The problem is that you're using a different locale. Specifically, your locale presents decimal numbers with ',' (comma), and LooksMenu (BodyGen) requires a decimal point '.'.

Think of BodyGen as a 'global system' for all the NPCs in-game. This means that both Ivy and Darlene can get modified by it, but so can Player character.
You generate new BodyGen files: morphs.ini and templates.ini. morphs.ini is the file containing the actual NPCs - so you'd need to specify the plugin, the NPC's FormID and then the body preset you used to generate BodyGen files. For example, Companion Heather's line looks like this: llamaCompanionHeatherv2.esp|AB33=SecretaryPreset Replace 'SecretaryPreset' with the name of any body preset you've used (those are all listed in templates.ini).
However, if you don't have that line for Heather, she (Heather) will be treated randomly - meaning that she will get a totally random body preset.

Dude holy s#*!, this tool is amazing thank you for this, the guide was easy to follow and simplified everything for me. I hardly ever comment on anything, but I've tried doing BodyGen manually and it was pain in the ass. This makes everything so much easier and it's amazing!
A quick note for Vortex Users after you generate your INI files you need to manually add the "fallout4.esm" into your "BodyGen" folder the directory should looks like this. Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\BodyGen\Fallout4.esm Thank you Nautzzz for the solution on that!
Hello! Your mod seems amazing and im on the last leg of using it however I noticed that im missing the BodyGen and fallout4.esm files in my F4EE folder. Did I need something prior as what I understood is that Looksmenu bodygen isnt a requirement, Thank you.

The mod works beautifully. All the npcs have varying body presets (I didnt use the randomizer). I personally started a new game which is not needed but having over 200 mods breaks things sometimes. A note for my vortex users, install this manually and when you get to the part I was having trouble with, go to F4SE/Plugins/F4EE and IN F4EE make the folder BodyGen then inside BodyGen make the folder Fallout4.esm
Oh, and a minor correction - this is not a mod; it's a tool, meaning you don't need to install it inside your mod manager. A simple download and extract anywhere will do just fine!
you should pin this instructions its more easy to understand. I have mine up and running because of this. I also added the exe file of this tool to my executables in MO2 for easy access. I have 1,431 mods active.. the generated output mod of this tool didn't hurt my load order no esp.
In a nutshell, it's a tool that simplifies the creation of BodyGen files and, additionally, it patches (updates) those newly generated files accordingly to the body preset you're using.
In order to achieve best-results with BodyGen, you usually had to re-build all the meshes (outfits) with Zeroed-sliders body preset (that's the body preset that has all the sliders set to 0). This tool can patch the files depending on your current, non-Zeroed-sliders preset, so you don't have to re-build all the meshes.
BodyGen is a part of LooksMenu that allows you to have different body shapes in your game. For example, your Player character may be slim, Piper can be thick and Cait can be muscular. Those all are body presets.
This tool creates the necessary files for BodyGen to function, and has the built-in functionality to bypass the requirement of building (or re-building) all the outfits in BodySlide with Zeroed-sliders body preset.
It sounds to me like you've never heard of BodyGen. If that's the case, I highly, highly encourage you to read the docs. I explained everything there, and the guide is easy to follow, but requires some focus.

I followed the documentation step by step. Unless I misread, I'm unsure why it wouldn't be working. I'm using Vortex MM if that changes anything.
Everything seems okay on your end - both INI files are valid. F4EE has only a single warning - that being for Player Character, but that's okay; you can safely ignore it (that's the only way to disable morphs on Player).
So all in all, BodyGen definitely should work on your existing save. How are you testing it? Try to visit a dungeon occupied by Raiders (any dungeon you have not yet cleared) and check results there on female Raiders.
Also, and this is somewhat important - the difference will not be visible if all the body presets are similar to one another. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Overall, it should certainly work. If it doesn't, you can try doing the following:

Are you running custom races? Asking because I've seen a couple of modded races in your F4EE.log. If you are - the BodyGen will not work. Reason being - in morphs.ini, it is specified which races the changed bodies apply to. The very first line:

To make it work for custom races, you'll need to copy that block and replace HumanRace with the races you want. Take this as an example:

Custom Racesare a bit tricky - I've been running a few of them but ultimately ditched them for vanilla Human Race because it makes most sense (at least to me).
Regarding replying - not a problem! You needed help because you ran into an issue, and have provided all the necessary info regarding your issue (both INI files + LooksMenu log). Of course, I'll help you! I don't know everything, but I can share my knowledge and what I know - it's what modding should be all about!

The only thing I couldn't get to work were a few outfits due to how their meshes are split but can't don anything about that. Servitron and a few of TheKite's clothing mods just don't work well with BodyGen which is a shame.

I tried using the tools to create the file but when running the game f4ee says a lot of: Could not parse morphs Must have value pair with @ (4)

The problem is that you're using a different locale. Specifically, your locale presents decimal numbers with ',' (comma), and LooksMenu (BodyGen) requires a decimal point '.'.

Think of BodyGen as a 'global system' for all the NPCs in-game. This means that both Ivy and Darlene can get modified by it, but so can Player character.
You generate new BodyGen files: morphs.ini and templates.ini. morphs.ini is the file containing the actual NPCs - so you'd need to specify the plugin, the NPC's FormID and then the body preset you used to generate BodyGen files. For example, Companion Heather's line looks like this:
llamaCompanionHeatherv2.esp|AB33=SecretaryPresetReplace 'SecretaryPreset' with the name of any body preset you've used (those are all listed in templates.ini).
However, if you don't have that line for Heather, she (Heather) will be treated randomly - meaning that she will get a totally random body preset.

A quick note for Vortex Users after you generate your INI files you need to manually add the "fallout4.esm" into your "BodyGen" folder the directory should looks like this. Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\BodyGen\Fallout4.esm Thank you Nautzzz for the solution on that!

A note for my vortex users, install this manually and when you get to the part I was having trouble with, go to F4SE/Plugins/F4EE and IN F4EE make the folder BodyGen then inside BodyGen make the folder Fallout4.esm
Oh, and a minor correction - this is not a mod; it's a tool, meaning you don't need to install it inside your mod manager. A simple download and extract anywhere will do just fine!

In order to achieve best-results with BodyGen, you usually had to re-build all the meshes (outfits) with Zeroed-sliders body preset (that's the body preset that has all the sliders set to 0). This tool can patch the files depending on your current, non-Zeroed-sliders preset, so you don't have to re-build all the meshes.

BodyGen is a part of LooksMenu that allows you to have different body shapes in your game. For example, your Player character may be slim, Piper can be thick and Cait can be muscular. Those all are body presets.
This tool creates the necessary files for BodyGen to function, and has the built-in functionality to bypass the requirement of building (or re-building) all the outfits in BodySlide with Zeroed-sliders body preset.
It sounds to me like you've never heard of BodyGen. If that's the case, I highly, highly encourage you to read the docs. I explained everything there, and the guide is easy to follow, but requires some focus.
