Given the comments some companions make about the broadcast, it would be kind of cool to have a quest to turn it off. Like, you bring a companion to the location, and when they comment about it, you get a miscellaneous quest to turn it off with the quest marker pointing you to the terminal.
It seems that it does not work for me. The terminal entry is there and it says "shutting down". But the message continues. Saving and reloading, fast travel to a far away location and coming back didn't help. I am on game version .163 if this is of importance. The console command with disable/ enable seems to work for now.
I wish I could say why it doesn't work. Maybe it's a version thing? I don't have access to 163 so I can't say for sure. Though I'm glad the disable trick does work for you.
I'm more inclined to believe that this is an issue of a missing script, rather than being due to game version.
You need to package the scripts together with the files for it to work. I'm assuming there's a script missing since you mention that you used a papyrus fragment to fix it in the description.
Thank you, Exoclyps. I messed up somewhere and didn't pack the scripts into the archive. And I appologize to anyone for the frustration this has caused. I'll need a few minutes to get it fixed then I'll upload a fixed version.
This might be the single best mod I’ve seen this month. I spent a considerable amount of time at this checkpoint for a few ss2 quests and thought I was going to go insane. It was like a hour straight of this thing because I had to reload the same save a couple times due to a crash that took a while to figure out.
I apologize again for the script screw-up. I've gotten it fixed now and have uploaded a new version. I'm hoping it will also work on the previous-gen versions as well.
If I may. Do you really need to include ba2 for such a small one? Especially since you include the loose file anyways. A lot of us struggle with the ba2 archive limit.
This is why I say I'm an amateur at best. I've just always included it with anything I've done and never even thought about it not being needed. Again, I'm definitely still learning and I'm definitely open to suggestions.
I hope I didn't come of as too rough in my way of mentioning that. Tend to not always be the best with words. But yeah, for smaller files I personally would argue the ba2 isn't needed (we got mod managers nowadays so the advantage of easy install/uninstall isn't really a thing anymore).
Not at all, I'm glad to have the suggestions. In fact, I removed the BA2 and uploaded a different version. I think at this point, I need to add you to my credits :)
Btw. Just checked the ba2 archive. It's empty. Shipping with it serve no purpose (the archive does nothing outside just adding +1 towards the archive limit) and I'd say you're better off just archiving that version.
