Hey there. Mod looks great, however the additional things besides the settlements are a bit much for me. Would you consider making a version that's just the settlement addons, no new items, or settlement needs box, etc?
It's a real thing. It's located on the "red workshop workbench" for most settlements. Some like the Boston Airport have it in sperate locations like the Airport being inside the plane. They only serve the purpose of generating the needs for a settlement so they don't get attacked as much so if you need more lights then you'd need to build a generator and connectors. I tried to build a connector inside of the box but I broke it and needed to fix it again so I don't want to mess with it anymore. I bring this up in this comment because a lot of people ask about it.
Thanks for the reply. Love the mod and everything thing added! I have another question if you don't mind but does the radstag food dispenser refill based on the in-game time or some other way?
I'm not sure how long it takes normally but when I was testing I was using a instant cell reset to reduce save bloat and when you leave an area it resets all cells and when I walked out and back in it reset. So whatever the limit is to rest a zone is how long it will take. I know that's not helpful, sorry. All I know is I set it to respawn.
this was my favourite settlements mod since i was using it on the xbox, but now with all the "player homes" in sanctuary the quality dropped, anyway i decided to kept it, but now i went to the castle and seems to be broken, cant complete the open armory quest, any way to fix it or if i uninstall this mod mid game, will i break my save and have to start over ?
There is only 2 player homes in Sanctuary like most of the other settlements? If you're talking about the interiors for the settlers I could have made it exterior's and all that would have done is made people complain that the game is crashing when they go near Sanctuary, Red Rocket or Abernathy farms. Likewise I made them interiors and people complain they're interiors. I can't please both parties I'm sorry, I had to go with what will make the game run without crashes. The 3 areas I listed are in what's known as the triangle of death which means you can only really build in 1 location or 2 if you put very little which I already did with Red Rocket and Abernathy Farm. So I'm sorry you feel like it declined in quality but it was was either constant crashes or being able to play it.
Now, as for The Castle. What is wrong with the open armory quest? You have to tell me what's going on so I can assist you?
so can the stuff in the settlements be scraped or no? im asking cause i kind of want to run this with ss2 where when i take over a settlement i force the settlers to use the SS2 ASAM item
Hi WMD - still loving your mod, it must have been m,any hours of hard work! In some settlements I can't find where to hook up to the Power to use what is already there. Is there a hook up point in each settlement? If yes I guess I will have to look a little harder lol. Thanks again!
Thanks, it did take a long time, 2 years in fact. The mod was made with people not wanting to build in mind and Xbox users so I made the settlements needs box to give all the resources, so it shows there is power but you can't connect it to anything. I tried to make it so you could but I couldn't figure it out and broke the box a few updates back and had to fix it in the last update so I don't want to touch it no more. You'll need to build a power source and some connectors if you want to put some more lights unfortunately.

i love the mod, but please i beg, stop making the buildings and rooms into interiors. firstly, NPCs WILL NOT enter interiors thus rendering it as empty useless space. secondly, nobody likes loading screens
1st. The interiors mostly are not for NPC's it's player homes for survival to keep the weather effects away and to not damage players in rad storms. The only exception I can think of right now is Sanctuary and I had to do that because Xbox players can't handle that much built, especially in the triangle of death (aka Sanctuary, Red Rocket and Abernathy Farm). I know NPC's will not use them now so many people have told me that on my YouTube and Twitter after I finished it and uploaded it to Nexus, unfortunately what's done is done.
2nd. I know, I even hate loading screens, which is why there are player homes outside for like 90-95% of settlements but this is a Xbox mod that was brought over to Nexus because PC players commented on my YouTube asking for it. As stated before Xbox users can't have to much built and I started this when people couldn't find the Series X\S in stores so they had old consoles. But since they can't have much built a lot locations have interior player homes and only some have any other kind of interior (if any), only one with interiors for NPC's I can think of is Sanctuary and The Castle but no one is going to really be walking into the barrack or stalking the NPC's like a creep all day to see where they go during the night... right?
3rd. The loading (for me anyway) only take a few seconds (like 3-7 seconds) to load into a building on a RTX 3050 so it shouldn't take that long to go into and drop things off or explore them. But if you hate the loading that bad there should be homes outside for the most part. I'm sorry that you dislike the interiors but I hope you continue to enjoy what there is outside, I understand that I "can't please them all" but I hope you have fun on your Fallout experience, and thank you for your opinion!
Cool! I just tried this mod, I'm absolutely thrilled, it's a pity that I'm using CC2! I even thought about deleting it, but I went too far. There are some small oddities - there are almost no lights in the houses, a robot selling weapons in Sanctuary seems superfluous to me, but this is my taste.I think I'm almost like-minded with you, but I don't want to start the game all over again. Could you make a lite version that would be compatible with CC2? You know, I'm absolutely thrilled, but I don't know how to drive, so I dare ask, maybe this version has a great chance. I don't like building and all that, I would be happy if you made a light version without separate locations-houses, or with them, but minimally. I don't know what to say. The mod is amazing!
Hmmmm. i was thinking to use only part of this mod, which would be quite nice! But! it hurts to cut a living heart with a knife, is there a possible error here in removing some of the content?
Sorry I get a ton of notifications and I try to get to them all the best I can. I made this for Xbox users and I had to make it a all in one version for them due to the mod limit on Xbox. In order for me to make it a "sliced up version" or a "Lite version" I'd need to remake every settlement all over again and this took me 2 years to finish so unfortunately I can't. The Expanded version I'm in the process of making which you can find the link in the description of this mod is sperate files but this one I can't, I'm sorry.
Thanks for the answer! I must say that I've been watching mods for a week now and I can't launch the game until I make a list of the best ones. I came across this page by chance and was thrilled! I've already tried the mod, I realized that I want to leave Sanctuary untouched, that's the only thing I want, to be honest. But the fact that I met you is a great success, I couldn't even expect it. I'm absolutely thrilled, even though I'm on the sidelines because I can't use it yet. Thank you for your hard work!
There is a holotape in Vault 111 and if you're on a old save one is added to your inventory. Please read it for all the key locations and obstacle's for everything inside the mod. Other than that I haven't made the video for it yet but I plan on it.
Hello would you be willing to have a separate mod just for the red rocket settlement. I love your. Mod but unfortunately I play with Sim settlements 2. But I really would like to use your version of red rocket as a player home.
I can probably make a Red Rocket version one day but I am in the progress of making some other mods for Skyrim, Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Fixing this for Fallout 4 so I'm not sure when I can get to it. If I can ever get around it it I'll message you about it.
Just want to say that this mod is fantastic. Now excuse for for being a little daft but i cannot seem to find the "All Settlement Needs Box" in sanctuary. Is it the settlement supplies box int the town hall? Or have i completely missed where it is?
