TUTORIAL - Adding a new ammunition type
HOW TO ADD A NEW AMMUNITION TYPE:
This is pretty easy. The system uses 3 things: An ammunition type, an object modification, and a keyword that's used to tie them all together.
Here's a step-by-step guide. The guide assumes you have Fallout 4 Edit (FO4Edit) installed and have some level of familiarity with modding.
Step 1: Set Up Forms
First, set up the ammo/keyword/OMOD. It's easiest to copy existing content; copy-as-new-form a an OMOD, ammo and keyword for an existing ammo type like 10mm AP.
Step 2: Set Up Ammo
Ammunition types have type keywords on them that are used by the etc. equip objects, and in a later version will be used by the AI to select a type to use. The keywords are a0aLOADS_KYWD_Type_AntiArmour,... -
TUTORIAL - Converting weapons/modifications to use Loads of Ammo
HOW TO CONVERT A WEAPON TO USE LOADS OF AMMO:
This is easy and straightforward. The mod uses a new, invisible modification slot (just like the Legendary slot) to select a weapon's ammunition type- you can make any weapon compatible with the system by adding that modification slot.

Step 1: Add Master
Open FO4Edit, and select Loads.esm and the file with your weapon that needs modifying. In order to add a keyword from Loads.esm to that weapon, you'll need to add Loads.esm to it as a Master. Right-click on your weapon file, and select 'Add Maste...
