Without those facegen textures you would have bodies from my mod and vanilla heads, which would look really bad. Just for the sake of interest - basic head, hand, body textures are created. CK then takes those head textures and generates a unique head for each Ghoul that will also fit their body. I go through those textures one by one and edit the ones that need editing.
So, i guess i have exactly THAT problem. I use the Jane Bod Body-Mod, now i installed THIS Ghoul-mod and i have the body-textures from this mod, but the vanilla faces. So, if it is possible - how can i get it to work together?
This will definitely be a mod conflict. I don't know the mod you mentioned, I don't know what it does to the bodies or faces of the Ghouls. You have to let my mod overwrite all the others. I tried it on OG and NG, it works without any problems, but I've only tried it with vanilla bodies.
Which version do you use? BA2 or loose? (that wasn't supposed to be a poem ). If one variant doesn't work for you, try the other. Loose has to overwrite everything or put the BA2 plugin last in your load order. Sorry, but I can't help you any other way. I personally use vanilla bodies, X-Cell and all possible fixes for the NG version of the game - it works for me. It also worked for me in the modded OG game as you can see in the pictures. I even have a naked version of the regular ghouls but only for vanilla bodies.
Thanx for your quick response. I used the BA2 version. Now i will try the loose file version - this time my Mod Manager asked to overwrite a file from this mod: High Res DLC Black Face Fix, the file to overwrite is "GhoulChildHead_d.DDS" And now it works, but now i have to look if the Black Face bug is back ?
Well, this is black magic. As far as I know, the dark face bug occurs when the resolutions of the different face textures differ. For example, when the face is 2K and some complex or makeup is 1K. It is simply fixed by save/load... as far as I know, but someone please correct me if that is not true. I found an article about it if you are interested.
Ok, that`s really very weird. In my case it would point to: (1) lack of memory/VRAM. You will see the bug occasionally, but not all the time (The HFR player refresh script/Rusty Face fix can only help with this type). Since i don`use any face-mods, just a Body mod. And the black face bug does not appear all the time, just sometimes. But "lack of memory/VRAM? I have a very new gaming PC: Intel Core i9-12900KF 3.20 GHz, 64GB RAM, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070 SUPER 12GB.
FO4 is a Bethesda game. No one will ever be able to tell you exactly why things happen the way they do. I didn't make this up, this is a fact. That's why you need to read everything about everything and get used to certain things when modding. Something must be obviously broken in your game when things like this happen to you. The last thing I can advise you is this site - The Midnight Ride. I'm not saying downgrade the NG version, but you'll learn something from that site.
haha :D yes that`s true^^ Well, since it works very well now i will keep it as it is. Oh and by the way - i haven`t upgraded my Fallout to NG, and i`m not going to do so. Cheers and greetings fro germany ;)
How have I been playing without this those vanilla ghoul textures are no bueno. The back of their heads is no better than 2001 CS textures. Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Enjoy. I don't want to seem like some pervert, but there is also a nude version of this variation, but only for vanilla bodies. That is, if you want to see naked Ghouls. I did it on request, not of my own free will . Honestly it's disgusting If you like the darker side of FO, check out my new textures for Vaults.
wow this is a rather different look for ghouls; but actually, i like it; actuallyy i think this could make all the game look better somehow, i dont know, i just like it.
Unfortunately, it is not suitable for those who use CBBE or a body different from vanilla. But nice work, thank you. It seemed too shiny to me, as if it should be a little more matte. The details are still great.
I personally don't use CBBE and I never will, so I can't help with that. Shine - before I decided to take that step, I had to look at quite a few photos of radiation burning. Some of the wounds were even shinier than you see in the pictures. This is how I imagine radiation-burned skin on the body, on which wounds, lesions and cancer are constantly forming.
The wounds are quite realistic, as if pus is flowing. I generally do not find the brightness in the game realistic. Sometimes I do a test game by loading only the testures of the new mod that I bought without installing the game tests, the textures do not shine at all in the purple world, I say it is beautiful
This is why I use the Dark Commonwealth mod, which is still in development, but already looks pretty good. I hope the mod's author will finish it. For me, the original washed out colors look very bad and cause eye problems, and I have good eyesight by the way. Dark Commonwealth also disables illogical light sources both in exteriors and interiors. There are other well-known alternatives that you can watch on YouTube. I just typed "fallout 4 lighting mods comparison" into the YT search engine and immediately got a good result.
Thank you. This is the first time I've done something like this, "persons" are made differently than other creatures, so I'd appreciate it if you could write here if it works properly and what version you're using. I've checked enough Ghouls in my game to say it's OK. Thanks.
I tried both the loose and ba2 versions on Pre Next-Gen with no mods other than Luxor's Fallout 4 HD Overhaul 2k. Went to the Slog and Goodneighbor, all the Ghouls I saw looked as they should with your mod. It is really quite the transformation - very impressive work.
Thanks. I'll quote myself: This is how I imagine radiation-burned skin on the body, on which wounds, lesions and cancer are constantly forming. Some Ghouls are lighter, some darker depending on the tint applied to them. I just wanted to avoid vanilla colors, because I personally didn't like them. Maybe with 4K textures I'll make the Ghouls a little lighter, but not by much.
I like this logic. Radiation favors darker creatures, pale skin offers no protection (I'm part Irish, the sun is a real threat). I am even using this logic in my own mods (no whites, albinos or pales in the Glowing Sea because they would get roasted).
If you're up for it, check out some pictures of radiation burns or severe burns to the whole body..Burned skin and flesh are just dark red and sometimes shiny. Lesions and tumors also form in Ghouls' bodies.
Davetci6167 Thank you for the advertisement. As I wrote in the description, I will be working on 4K textures, now I'm sure. I will take the information and requests that accumulate in the comment section and I will try to make such textures to satisfy everyone, which I probably won't be able to do :D Davetci6167Davetci6167

4K needs other things than just basic Ghoul textures plus 4K is not my priority, so I really don't know.

We'll see how they look naked. I don't even want to imagine it
