Version 1.3 adds some spikes, that can be attached to the junk walls and guard tower. These can also be used as standalone barricades without the walls. You will find 2 wooden and 1 steel version in the junk fences category.

Still works without issues on simple downgraded old gen (1.163), a must have for settlement building enthusiasts who embrace the scrappy wasteland look!

You can use  Place Everywhere to put anything anywhere you want in the settlement.

Welp, as far as I can tell this mod is still working as advertised, with the new Next-Gen Update, woohoo!  \o/

Tested all the features as per the description page and all functionalities seem to be intact; no errors/bugs found, as of yet!
Again, hella fine work with this, DarthWayne! And again, THANK YOU for this mod, and for the eight+ years of this hella awesome mod's contribution to the FO4 community! Still appreciating ya!  \o/ ♥ :D

    EDIT/UPDATE:
I have discovered a minor conflict with another mod: Auto Close Doors
So if you are using (or plan to use) that other mod while using this mod, be aware of the following:

'Auto Close Doors v1.0.1' compatibility with 'Snappable Junk Fences v1.3'~
    Mods conflict:  Yes
    Severity:  Minor
Conflict Details:  Both mods seem to function as advertised, with a minor conflict occurring specifically with the Junk Fence Gate's functionalities (listed below).

    Load Orders Tested~

    Load Order
    (A):
    Auto Door Close.esp
    BetterJunkFences.esp

    • Junk Fence Gate snapping functionality WORKS.
    • Junk Fence Gate auto-closing functionality does NOT work.
    • Junk Fence Gate can no longer be picked up and moved after placement (becomes scrappable only).
    • All other doors' auto-closing functionalities effected by the 'Auto Close Doors' mod WORKS.
    • All other junk fence pieces' snapping functionalities effected by the 'Snappable Junk Fences' mod WORKS.

    Load Order (B):
    BetterJunkFences.esp
    Auto Door Close.esp

    • Junk Fence Gate snapping functionality does NOT work.
    • Junk Fence Gate auto-closing functionality WORKS.
    • Junk Fence Gate can be picked up and moved again after placement.
    • All other doors' auto-closing functionalities effected by the 'Auto Close Doors' mod WORKS.
    • All other junk fence pieces' snapping functionalities effected by the 'Snappable Junk Fences' mod WORKS.

So in hindsight, both mods work as intended, however, with that minor hiccup, you will need to decide which is the lesser evil for you, if you wish to use both mods at the same time.

For me personally, since I DO want to use both mods at the same time, I went with Load Order (B), for the following reasons:

    • I don't mind the junk fence gate to not be snappable (not a big deal if you know the building tricks).
    • Having the junk fence gate's auto-close functionality is more important for me.

    Okey-dokey!  o7

I really, really appreciate your extensive explanation of the mod conflict, and especially that you included two different fixes! People like you make the modding world go round.

      @DiveThoddoo

Woo, had me worried for a second there...I just tried it, and the Guard Tower was snapping to the junk fence for me.

You might either be having a mod conflict, or maybe a load order issue.

    Hmm ...

FO4Edit advises that Desperadoes adds distant LOD meshes to the Junk Fence workshop pieces.

Unfortunately, this overwrites the added snap points added by Snappable Junk Fences.

The fences are also meant to snap to each other, right? Because right now, they don't for me. Could the latest update have broken the mod?

EDIT: Nevermind, Vortex just didn't enable the esp for some reason, had to do that manually.

It seems like this doesn't work with the Homemaker mod. Has anyone managed to get them both to work together?

What do you mean "doesn't work"? They don't snap or what?
