I'm on pre-next gen but hopefully it does for people who updated. But that then leads to will we need to start a new game for the mod to work or can we put it "half way" through our game?
Thank you for addressing the elephant in the room! I'm also one of those people who categorically refuses to update. In fact, if ever I need to reinstall the game, I'll be using my GOG version, which allows users to easily disable updates by default, as well as rollback, should they wish (no complicated hoop-jumping required). However, this is one of the mods (Mind Games being the other) that I'm looking forward to, so it's good to know I'll be able to play both!
Tell me about it. I prematurely updated becuse of Fallout London. I fubared my mods and had to make hard reinstall, deleting everything. Only to hear days later that Fallout London will be on pre-next gen. Cherry on top is that the game refuses to work when I try revert back for some reason. f*#@ Bethesda, Todd Liard in particular.
It's truly incredible, having been following them for years, to see mods like A Better World, London, Sim Settlements 2, Mind Games, and others coming to fruition. Like a dream come true.
Agreed!. I will also say this… Within the Bethesda modding communities, FO4 lags waaaaaaay behind Skyrim in terms of sheer quantity, especially when it comes to content mods involving quests and companions. However, almost all of what we do have is very high quality.
I have to disagree. I think it's the other way round. Very few of actual quality and far too much in way of quantity. Fallout 4 is all weapons mods where as Skyrim has a vast variety, be it new worlds, new quests and great everything. I've been waiting for years for someone to do a complete overhaul of the factions in game, especially The Gunners and even more so The Institute. Both are terrible in vanilla. Sorry, I know that sounds very harsh but it's the way I feel. I'd love to be able to do something about it myself but I don't own the skills required.
In my experience, Skyrim has both high quality AND high quantity mods. Makes sense to me, Skyrim is 10 times easier to mod than FO4. Not having to worry about previs/precombines and all.
