I found many ingame ambiant noises annoying ...
Because I don't live/play in an acoustic chamber, so, I already have ambiant sounds of the place arround (even with headphone).
This mod allows you to reduce or silence a selection of ambient noises ( hums and few rumbles ).
This is ( still ) a work in progress.
== RECOMMENDED WITH THIS MOD

*Annoying Metal Creak Sound Remove* by sonykay ( remove metal cracks sounds )
*Quieter Settlements* by Lemures ( reduces various settlement item sounds )
*Quiet Dogmeat Paws* by wzol ( reduces Dogmeat walking sounds )
== INSTALL
==========================
Install the fomod with an appropriate mod manager.
Alternatively (manual install):
unpack the mod.
then,
A) for "reduced" flavor:
copy the 'Sound/' folder into your '~\Fallout 4\Data' folder
B) for "silenced" flavor:
start with the main file, then get the optionnal file "Less Ambient Noises - Silenced (Manual Patch)"
copy the 'Sound/' folder into your '~\Fallout 4\Data' folder
C) for customized flavor:
replace any files you want from 'Sound/' with the appropriate silence track
exemples:
* move silences\01sec.wav to Sound\FX\AMB\Interiors\HighTech\AMB_Int_High_Tech_Bed_A_01_LP.wav
* move silences\01sec.xwm to Sound\FX\AMB\Interiors\HighTech\AMB_Int_High_Tech_Rumble_B_01.xwm
!! ATTENTION !!
some plugins only comes with "reduced" flavor, but no "silenced" as I find it lore harming
so, for better experience, I recommend no to replace those :
1. "Industrial" plugin (which includes)
* Sound\FX\AMB\Interiors\Industrial
* Sound\FX\AMB\Interiors\IndustrialSaugus
2. "Tunnel" plugin (which includes)
* Sound\FX\AMB\Interiors\SteamTunnels
* Sound\FX\AMB\Interiors\Subway
When finished,
copy the 'Sound/' folder into your '~\Fallout 4\Data' folder
== UNINSTALL

Uninstall fomod with an appropriate mod manager.
Alternatively, remove the files you copied manually from the '~\Fallout4\Data' folder
