It definitely helps. I am still missing more often than normal. At 95% I might miss once a game session. With this I am missing once every 7th or 8th shot. Much better, but when you are in the Mojave, those bark scorpions are not to be underestimated. One sting is death without an anti venom. Missing them is not an option. lol
Thank you I figured something was off about some if not all of the 2 shot weapons. I did some testing on the laser 2 shot one and it was just not right as far as accuracy and such. This mod sorted it out pretty much thank you again keep up the important work =)
I have PC and use console commands. So this means that I'm at level 3 with a tricked-out Gauss rifle and the Two-Shot legendary effect. And plenty of ammo. I miss more often than not. Is this because of my level? I have trouble hitting mole rats with it. And with only three shots before I get too low on AP, I can't afford to miss.
Do you miss still while at 95%? This was my problem.
I have a suspicion it has to do with the amount of spread and the amount of recoil associated with two-shot. Basically, the game multiplied the base recoil and spread of the weapon by 2.5 each (or maybe it was multiplied both by 1.5, it's been a while since I looked at the code) and then added that result back onto the base. So depending on which number I gave as being correct, BOTH recoil and spread were multiplied by between 2.5 to 3.5 the base of each stat....every time the guns are fired.
So, 2.5*base+base = (2.5+1)*base = 3.5*base...or similar math if the game's multiplier was 1.5, you end up with 2.5*base. To me that seems insanely high for something that's supposed to be a legendary modification.
My guess (and I haven't really had a chance to dive into how VATS percentage is calculated, I'm too busy) is that Vats is calculating hit chance via the *BASE* recoil and spread, not the updated amounts that come with two shot.
The reason I have this suspicion is that I noticed laser and plasma weapons' missing WILDLY with at least one of the two shots while in VATS, even with a 95% hit chance. It's much easier to see with non-ballistic weapons, but the bullets/lasers/plasma do not ever really hit the same target...and it looks quite wonky without this mod.
i don't understand this in principle, the % hitchance in VATS has nothing to do with the spread of the weapon. It's only about the % chance? to hit or miss, at 90% every 10th shot misses on average.
the whole thing doesn't match my experience in the game at all, i don't miss more often with 2shots in VATS.
I was and currently am having difficulty finding anything in the creation kit that determines how vat's hit percentage is applied, so focusing on spread/recoil on the legendary was the only fix I could find.
Re: your experience, I think you must not be seeing the glitch then. I miss more often than not even with 95% on vats, but only with two shot weapons. EDIT, to be clear, I was missing 6 or more shots out of ten when each shot was supposedly having 95% accuracy.
Going to check this out. I use Vats a lot, and OG is my weapon of choice . ( Edit Post ) So, I have found no flaw's in this mod. My Stat's reflect what I'm doing. I'm Liking this...

Edit: I also have straight tens in my SPECIAL.
