"Fabricated mostly from factory parts, a prototype and testbed built by RobCo's west coast R&D under the working title Hoplite. Aimed to bring the robustness of the Sentry Bot to the versatility of the Assaultron model, the project was well received and given a military grant shortly before everyone involved was vaporised in an atomic blast."
Inspired in part, by the great and weird works of redportal (TBH I might also take a crack at my own version of Assaultron Tank Leg).
Update 1.3:
-SCRIPTS! Mod no longer makes direct edits to formlist, Hopefully this solves the compatibility issues once and for all. One last time, just to be sure, remove ALL parts from my mod from ALL robots, then save and quit, then uninstall my mod, load and save and quit again, and THEN install the new version.
-If you wish to uninstall the new version, there's now a craftable chem under utility that removes the script added formlists, which needs to be used first
-various mesh and material edits
-added a mostly redundant set of Hoplite paints just to get a single material swap to behave itself without needing to resort to a patch or yet more scripting that I understand even less, hopefully I'll come up with a more elegant solution eventually
Update 1.3.1:
-one more update for the night, finally fixed the missing Sentry Bot reactor glow, and added it as an option to the torso. As promised, here's the fix for Sentry Bots
Should be safe to update directly from 1.3, anything before that, follow the red instructions
