Ah, the plastic pink flamingo lawn ornament--true symbol of any advanced civilization. When you have the resources, the intelligence, and the boredom to create a fake bird that is in no way indigenous to your environment, strictly for the purpose of putting something on your lawn to piss off your neighbors, you have arrived.
Reminds me of when I was young and Yuppies ran wild and free in the suburbs. In the middle of the night we used to go to pretentious new home-owners, just moving into ritzie developments and surreptitiously place Pink Flamingos on the lawns.
