Not a related question to playing the list , just curious , how did you manage with a list this size to keep under the script threshold ?

Carefully repacking and merging things. lol
You be surprised how many things you can fit in a list. For the most part, I just have to watch for conflicts. I keep going until it says I have to stop. xD

90% of the issues involved with this list come from hashing issues and snail paced support responses (not saying that as a jab, it just literally is very slow, if existent at all).

Not to mention, insanely snarky. I'm not saying that because I'm sensitive. For example, one time I was confused about how to get CDN access. Reading through the wiki, it said some stuff about CDN access and then went into GitHub token stuff.

So I ask them, "Do I need a GitHub token to get CDN access?"
Response: "No, you need to read the wiki."

The answer to my question was yes. I received anti-support. lmao

      Rant over. (:

I'll have to post here as Discord won't accept my phone number.

I'm having the LOD issue where actors and objects pop in and disappear once they're about 10 foot away.
Followed the install instructions and post Install instructons. Fresh Steam f04 on a brand new SSD.
Reinstalled the Mod list once, reinstalled the LODS 3 times, played around with  Bethini pie a few times, messed with the actual ini files too to no avail. I'm at a loss.

I've been at getting this to work for 2 days now and have no idea what I'm screwing up.  The wabbajack will not download from the modlists directly, and using the installer file here gets the downloads going but ends with:

Missing Manual DownloadsWabbajack was unable to download the following archives automatically. Please download them manually and place them in the downloads folder you chose during the install setup.
    steam_api64.dllUnknown download type
Primary Key (may not be helpful): GameFileSourceDownloader+State|Fallout4|1.10.163.0|steam_api64.dll
    Fallout4.exeUnknown download type
Primary Key (may not be helpful): GameFileSourceDownloader+State|Fallout4|1.10.163.0|fallout4.exe
    Fallout4Launcher.exeUnknown download type
Primary Key (may not be helpful): GameFileSourceDownloader+State|Fallout4|1.10.163.0|fallout4launcher.exe

Is there an issue with the wabbajack or am I just screwing something up royally?

I should add the links lead nowhere, and copy/pasting from the actual FO4 folder does nothing either.

apologies, i just got back from vacation. :O

wabbajack updated and it seems something went tits up. i'm about to sit down and get everything situated.
the error you're having is it not giving you the downgraded version for some ungodly reason. a few in my discord have had the same issue and just used the simple downgrader to do it manually.

as for the links, it's because i didn't take into account that you'd need an invite to the discords they take you to before it will take you to them. lmao i'll get the readme fixed with correct steps involving that. i have a week of catching up to do.

Finally got the list installed and working on functioning.  A few things I've noticed so far:

      • All executables have to have the path corrected.
      • CKPE does not install with the wabbajack.  Not sure if this intentional or not but the install instructions do not mention.

May not be all, I've not made it past getting everything installed.  If I run into any more issues, I'll post them.

      ***EDIT***

The game crashes at the main menu right as it displays the error about CC not being connected.  Really not sure where to go from here.

CKPE is meant to be ignored, yeah. thanks for letting me know about the executables! i'll get that fixed.

as for the crash, that sounds like a BA2 limit crash. gah. either i missed unpacking something or wabbajack isn't unpacking it. i have 8 hours to commit to this today so i'll get it fixed. everything works on my profile, so the list is functional. it's gotta be something with compiling.

      Found another error:

You have one or more script extender plugins which failed to load!
If you want this notification to go away, here are some steps you can take:
      • Look for updates to the mod or the specific plugin included in the mod.
      • Disable the mod containing the plugin.
      • Hide or delete the plugin from the mod.

To refresh the script extender logs, you will need to run the game and/or editor again!

      The failed plugins are:
      • Couldn't load ActorVelocityFramework.dll (Actor Velocity Framework). The last error code was 1114.

I'm rolling out an update today that will hopefully fix the hashing errors. It's already compiled, just need to get a chance to sit and upload it.

That's a first for Actor Velocity Framework giving an issue though. :O It all works on my end, so it's something just not hashing correctly. I'll make sure it's fixed.

Yeah, I was getting that too, and the armor penetration wouldn't load.  I used the wabbajack gallery to install, but I am going to try the nexus file to see if I have any better luck.

So, I have screenshots in my Discord where I take that Armor Penetration issue to Wabbajack support and they essentially told me that everyone that gets that issue has to have modified the list. In short, if you're getting that error, it's your fault. -.-

We've been calling it "the dreaded error".

Wow, so we follow the directions and their program doesn't comply and it's our fault, lol.  Okay, sure.  Is there a way to rectify it?  I tried to re-download and install it but still got the error.  I am trying your Nexus wabbajack version, so hopefully this will be better.  When I tried the wabbajack version, I had to try 4 times to get it to finish without error and I installed it in a fresh folder on the root of the drive.  The nexus version took me three attempts.  I don't know why it is being so troublesome, but it really doesn't want to comply, even with a fresh install of wabbajack, fallout 4, and the mods.  I must say, over 1800 mods is a feat in itself.  The most I ever got to play nicely was 1100 or so.  Eventually, the game went to crap because Sim Settlements is so script heavy. I am only going to build a few settlements this time. Maybe that will help.

Wow, that is quite possibly the longest I have experienced for it to load.  You are really trying to make the computer and game engine cry aren't you, lmbo.  I am amazed how many mods are in there.  Also, your nexus wabbajack worked, but the gallery version, not so much. Now, I am going to try and actually start a game.  If it is anything like just trying to get it to load to the menu, this should be fun, lol.

Also, to the issue I was getting, I don't think I was placing the loadlist in the right folder.  I was putting it in the install folder, not profile folder as said in the instructions.  I misread it, so I redownloaded everything for nothing.  Yay me. I have been having some headaches, so it has been a little difficult to focus. Whatever the case, I was able to load in, but at creation screen, it seems like Nate is lost.  It doesn't start the dialogue, he just stares into my eyes and nothing happens.  Not sure if this is another one of my brain lapses, or if this has occurred before.  I tried loading in again, but same thing, he just stares at me like he wants to talk, but doesn't know how. It doesn't crash or freeze, he is blinking as a normal person, but the creation menu and dialog never happens.  I sat there for about five minutes, waiting for it to do something, but Nate and I were just staring into each other's souls.

I just made tweaks in the bethini as you said we could and the additional tweaks to enable file validation and archive enabling.  I can delete the ini's, set everything to vanilla, and try again.  I tried setting resolution to 2560x1440, my native res, and 1920x1080, the normal resolution, but never get either one to fit properly. Whatever the case, I will give the changes a shot and update.

So I don't know if it was because I had disabled gore in bethini, or some other setting, but setting everything back to vanilla, setting to 1920x1080 which is a bit off for my screen, and then reloading the game, I was able to get through and wonder the commonwealth.  Although this version is very harsh, I mean I was dying as soon as I was walking out the vault because of acid rain, the very minute I exited it was beautiful.  I guess it was a trick, look at this beauty before you die says the weather.  One thing, I tried to enable OSD in the high physics mod to view my raw FPS, but it doesn't  seem to affect the game.  My OSD still doesn't show.  Is there a potential conflict causing that?  I did use the load order you provided.

GMotW is modular and you can change that in MCM. (:
      Same with Nuclear Winter.
Though it is meant to be a brutal run, it's modular in most aspects. GMotW is on my naughty list though because it needs an update.
As for the High FPS ini, I cant say for certain. I personally don't mess with it too much out of the box. :O

okay, no worries.  I just like to keep an eye to see problematic areas.  Thank you for the heads up about the other mcm options.  I was just to a quick test to see if I could actually get in.  After all, the list is quite massive and as mentioned before, mcm took forever to load.  I am assuming you use the booster, so it shouldn't be an issue in the future, as you also mentioned.  Thank you for the prompt responses.  Stay at home dad's can be fun and rewarding, as well as challenging.  I did that for a bit when I first got out of the service.

okay, gotcha.  Thank you.  I had issues with FPS loss after I got much further into act 3 of SS2, so just wanted to be certain. I promise, one last question?  I know you don't support it, but if I added another mod, say the language filter mod, would that conflict with anything that you could think of?  Not trying to step on any toes or cause any violations, I was just curious.

Hi , have to post here because for some reason verifying my phone number to get access to your discord chat isn't working for me , l have your list downloaded from Wabbajack , did everything required , game runs perfect , only issue l have is when l go to open the Configuration menu it's really laggy opening and then gets near the end and freezes , l go into task manager and say fallout 4 not responding , hope there's a solution for this , great list though

Mod Configuration Menu ALWAYS takes ages for the first load while it builds the cache. :O It'll look like it's frozen, but it's chugging. Luckily, it wont be that bad each time after. That is, assuming you're trying to open it for the first time. If you've loaded it all the way once, and it's still taking ages, then I can definitely troubleshoot from there! (:

Thank you for the compliments!!! :D Glad you're enjoying the list!

Hey KC, what are your PC specs as a ballpark for requirements, and how much space does this list take up on disk? I'd love to give it a try but my rig is on the mediocre side. I don't want to burn the time and bandwidth installing if the list will perform poorly for me.

My rig is an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor with 24 GB of RAM and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU.

The folder with everything in it is roughly 290 GB in size. It includes a "Stock Game" copy of Fallout 4 that the list uses as its root so your personal copy's folder stays clean for your own game. Not to mention, the list just hit 1.3k mods. It's a hefty download, to be sure. lol

I gave the wabbapack a go and everything hashes and downloads ok, but the install is looking for the downgraded version, 1.10.16.0. I'm at the latest, 1.10.984.0. I tried using a downgrader (depot) and got past the initial fail for the game exe's and steam dll, but it fails on the ba2 files. Is it possible v2.2.0 was compiled with already downgraded files?

Quick comment, I'm pretty stoked to try this list. I appreciate your taste in mods and it looks like a lot of love went into this.

That's strange. I was told if I downgrade pre-compiling, you'll have the correct version and wont need to downgrade. Maybe I miffed something up there. :O I'm working on another update that should roll out later today. I re-selected the game path, so maybe that should fix it?

As for the BA2 issue, that could be because I unpacked some of the small BA2s with Unpackrr. Wabbajack may be giving you the packed files from Nexus instead of my modified versions with loose files. If you don't mind, in MO2, can you double click on Highly Volatile for Light in the mod list panel (left side in the HappoMatka's Retextures separator) and tell me if it has a main BA2? (I unpacked the main one and left the texture) If it DOES, then that means I get to add another step about unpacking BA2s. :P (Unless I can no-match include them in the compiling step)

If you'd like to skip the wait, I actually included Unpackrr in the modders resources folder. (: You can use that to unpack any BA2s until the game starts for you! Just start with mods that have 1 file, one at a time, until you get past the CTD.

Wabba was choking on the game ba2's, probably trying to copy the correct files to the Stock Game folder. Objects like the DLC files and CC files. Because of that the installer never made it to installing MO2 or any of the mods, although thankfully I have the mod's downloaded now for a quick rerun. I'm in no rush, so I'll wait for your next compile and give that a try. If it's still giving me fits I'll move this discussion to Discord.

    Hello!

Your list appears to be missing a way for the list to interact with base game files. You haven't set up either root builder or a stock game folder, so the list will not start for anyone because MO2 is expecting to find F4SE in the user's steam folder.

Also it would be a big help if you could upload your modlist to loadorderlibrary and provide a link so people can see the mods on your list without having to download anything.

Yeah, I'm learning new things everyday. lol
I'll have it re-uploaded and correct here shortly. (:
As for loadorderlibrary, it's just bugged for me. :/ I tried to make a modlist on there when I started this, and it has not allowed me to actually "post" it. I'll fill all the stuff out, and then nothing. Dx The list can be found here on GitHub though.

OKAY!!! After spending all morning getting Stock Game to agree with its surroundings, Wabbajack has accepted the arrangements and compiled~ Should be good to go! :D

You've added a stock game folder but MO2 is still pointed towards the user's steam install making the whole thing moot. Typically wabbajack lists don't expect users to mess with their steam install so people can have multiple modlists (or their own) installed.
The list is also not adding the creation club mods leading to a missing masters error in MO2.
Your github links are all 404's too.
Perhaps you should ask the people on the wabbajack discord server for some help since you're 95% of the way there?

I actually am where I'm at thanks to the Discord server. lol They've helped me through everything.
The Creation Club content is in the mods folder: "[NoDelete] Creation Club Content". I've got extra steps on GitHub to re-add them. I had to remove them one by one as the Compiler process failed for each one. lol
And hmm. Not sure how to address the Steam install bit. It's kind of intended thanks to the CCC issue. This, sadly, is only a modlist for Steam users. :/

To quote Dark in the WJ Discord:
"Do note, as stated on the wiki, this will make it so users can only use the modlist with the same storefront version of the game as you do.
So if you use Steam's Fallout 4, your users need the Steam version as well.
This usually isn't big of an issue, but I'm also not aware if there are any regional differences / versions of Fallout 4."

As for 404's, I will be honest, I'm not sure what that means. lol I've never used GitHub other than for this mod list because I hate it. xD Ideally, I'd have everything in a Discord server, but I know how people feel about that so I'd never. xD What's a 404?

EDIT: Assuming a 404 is what happens when your GitHub repository is still set to private. xD Fixed now~

They are saying the Stock folder isn't being used and instead it's using the steam directory, like one would use if they were playing from the steam application itself, atleast that is what i think they are saying.

The executables of Mo2 goes to the steam directory instead of the stock file when it comes to things like where F4SE is stored, so it takes the "Clean" Path with steam and not your path you made with the stock files.

Actually, its not just that the stock folder is also missing a few things too, as F4SE is also not downloaded into the stock file

f4se is in a folder explained in the extrasteps on github. :O compiler would not continue for me while stock folder had pretty much anything in it that wasn't base game. (creation club content is also in a folder)

Apologies if things still aren't working correctly. Dx i bugged WJ discord to the point i'm annoying them. lol
Does this mean putting f4se back into stock game will fix this issue?

for now it might, but i am no Wabbajack modpack maker, i did notice i don't have [NoDelete] Root Files, [NoDelete] Data Files and [NoDelete] Creation Club Content when downloading the modlist.

Okay, I think I finally have it. It's gonna sound really...silly.

I was told by Dark in the WJ Discord, regarding the Creation Club Content (and by extension, everything in the Stock Game folder that was being moody):
So you need to collect them in a folder, rename it to something like [NoDelete] BGSFO4115 (or name it after the appropiate Creation Club mod / asset), add the folder in your mods folder, and exclude all the files of the folder in your compilation settings.
This will ensure Wabbajack creates the mod folder in on your users end, but you need to add instructions to your Readme how your users need to copy over the Creation Club mod into the folder, or use some MO2 plugin that does it for them.

(There's no "exclude" in the compiler, but there's "ignore". So I made sure to clarify. Ignore = Exclude.)

My answer now after asking is that I, in fact, needed to INCLUDE the folders. Y'know...for them to be included.

If you select ignore, they won't compile (they will be ignored)

I'm going to pull my hair out. (:

SO FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY, THERE SHOULD NOW BE 2 FOLDERS IN THERE...
If you still have it in you, let me know if you see those folders this time. xD

well im going to redownload it now, ill reply back in probably 12 hours as Aussie internet sucks, not to mention a single TB of storage is surprisingly not much when you use modlists, as a lot are 300gbs+.

no problem mate, also to quickly ask, where do you put the combat drones in the load order on the mod separator sides, as i assume its not just the bottom of all the mods on the left panel. like how 286 is the placement number for Factions reinforcement.

ah cool, just wanted to check as sometimes you have to put mods in a certain order, after all you don't want the main mod above its patches as that could cause some buggy crap, at least i think it would.

Usually, with MO2, you're safe to place them anywhere on the left as long as whatever plugins they add, if any, are in the right spots!
Unless there's a conflict on the left side, then you want to order them so whatever you want to win is below it (plus sign lightning bolt).
That being said, I still organize things as they would appear in the load order for sanity's sake. xD

so... it still didn't appear, what file would it be in after downloading the modlist? because now i'm wondering if i am being a dumb ass, that or you might need to get some insight from another modpack author like WhiskeyTangoFawks, who is actually a author of a few mods you use in your pack.

You are definitely not a thorn~ You're the only one giving me feedback atm so it's MUCH, much appreciated! (:
The Complex Sorter is missing the Creation Club Content that isn't being included in the folder. lol
I'm currently staring at the Discord channel, waiting for an answer to this so I can compile and re-upload. Part of me is about to do this Midnight Ride style and just make a 1k mod list you install step-by-step. xD At this rate, I'd finish the guide for that before Wabbajack calms tf down.

ah yeah, also i mean that the Complex Sorter ESP is needed for the 2nd sorter files you made, as it shows that hazard triangle sign thing on the Mo2, also my Goofy ass joined your server, ill send a message on support, also i wont be suprised if it turns out you need to make a Resources mod for the modpack, also by memory you could Merge BSA's, but i think that could be risky, again i am no modlist maker so my opinion is a bit moot
