Thanks, when I eventually come back to thid mod, I'll try to add a frame model based on them. I've been looking into how different mods go about changing models of armor with object modifications, so I might be able to implement something like this.
Most of my girls had dedicated glasses from another mod but, this one really is great. I wish I could get cubemaps to load correctly 100% of the time. It's hit or miss on my setup lol. Tried everything to fix it.
But I digress, love this regardless. Having different lens colors is really neat. Hope you make more accessories! Also, I took some pictures for ya chief.
Let me guess, an AMD graphics card? Sorry for that, I've got an nvidia one and all trying to fix the issue without having it and not seeing whether it's fixed is like trying to shoot blindfolded. Sometimes you'll hit the target, the other time you'll hit the neighbour's dog. Thank you for downloading the mod, taking the photos and I'm happy you're enjoying it! I'll make more stuff in the future for sure, but right now I came back to skyrim and I'm basically playing it 24/7 xD
No actually, my card is Nvidia. The issue lies with the game engine, it handles cubemaps so weirdly. About 30% of the time they'll load properly, and 70% they'll be latex black. I've tried all the fixes lol, just Bethesda things. Reloading the game sometimes works, but it's a hassle with about 1k mods weighing in at 700GB as you can imagine lol.
And understandable, I love Skyrim. I never take pics there because I actually still enjoy playing. Unlike fallout I just take screens in. When you so make more stuff, I'm looking forward to it.
Well no, the amount of mods doesn't have anything to do with my issue lol. The game engine is just wonky as hell when it comes to cubemaps. Just saying it takes a long time to load the game even on SSD, about 3-5 minutes with loading the save time included. First time loading sometimes takes like 7 mins.
As for storage, my main SSD houses basically just fallout. I have another HDD that's just storage basically, and then another portable external SSD that I run most other games off of. The SSD and HDD are both 1TB and the portable SSD is 2TB lol.
Well, the amount of mods for sure impacts the load times (i have like 240 esps, can't remember the esl count, the game loads in around a minute for me) and I wouldn't be surprised if it impacted the loading of assets also, because I never had any problems with cubemaps not loading, that's why I assumed it's the mod count. Be sure to stay under 255 esp+esm mod limit. I never crossed it, so I don't kniw if the game doesn't run at this point, or is hella buggy.
Yeah if you load over that amount of esp / esm it will just not load at all. The game will CTD every time you try to launch it. There is also a limit to how many ba2 archives you can have actually in the folder, loaded or not. Everyone packs their mods into those archives even if it's a tiny mod lol.
But no fundamentally the cubemaps are finnicky with the way the engine loads them. Some mods work like a charm every time, some have issues. Sometimes they load right, sometimes those problem child ones don't load right. Didn't mean for this to be tech support hour but yeah. I still love the mod regardless, my girls never looked so good lol.
I used to have this problem a lot. IIRC the standard no of cubemaps loaded is 40(?). Above that and it seems to load cubemaps in randomly. Lots of custom clothes with cubemaps = many and varied colorful result. Exacerbated by the tendency that a lot of clothing authors have to add cubemaps to items that generally don't need them, like soft clothing items.

Hmmm, i'm currently away from my pc, but as soon as I come back I'll look into it. Can you tell me the current color you're using? Have you enabled archive invalidation? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/articles/3831
I'm not able to reproduce it. The colors look similar to pink glasses. Are you sure you didn't equip those? I checked all the file paths and there were no problems with them, everything was good in the CK and this doesn't happen to me in my game, so it's hard to figure it out. And if you're talking about the glasses being full bright during the night, then I can't unfortunately fix that, that's the problem with the engine and the way it handles alpha textures.
I have a feeling that it is because I have an amd graphics card. This sometimes happen with modded gun sights, so maybe the same problem? I have endorsed anyway.
We need a fix for AMD cards. This is an old problem with some custom scopes, glasses, and eyeglass lenses. I have AMD and my lenses look the same as yours in the screenshot. The author of the mod has a 100% NVIDIA graphics card, so he does not have such a problem. For AMD, you need to additionally configure the materials. How to fix it is described at the link:

Everything is written in detail in the comments. p.s. I hope the author (or someone else) will make a fix for AMD graphics cards
Thanks for the link. I added the env textures, hopefully it fixes this. If you can, could you download the update and check it out? I don't have an AMD cart, so I'm unable to check it.
No, it doesn't work. The color of the glow changed from purple to yellow. It can be seen in the dark. I did as in the tutorial, and in the line "Envmap Texture" I wrote Shared/Cubemaps/Outside Day 01.dds for all files ***.bgem - the purple glow has disappeared. My fix for AMD
I replaced the env texture with this cubemap, I hope it works now. I decides to move this into optional update files, so you don't have to download the whole thing again. Even though it's 1.4mb
That did the trick, although I had to change the file path. Currently you have "Olivia Sunglasses Material AMD Fix > Materials > OliviaSunglasses > Sunglasses > etc..." you need to omit the "Olivia Sunglasses Material AMD Fix" folder. so. "Materials > OliviaSunglasses > Sunglasses > etc..." I am colour blind So can't tell if the colours are correct. But I can tell it wasn't quiet right b4 (hence the screenshot) Thank you for your time in fixing this.
You must go to the armorer's workbench (where you upgrade armors from the base game and most other mods) and find the glasses. Then you have two options: Frames and Lenses. Just click them and you'll have different options. I hope this helped! ^^
Mmmmmm... I understand that this mod is work in progress. So I have not downloaded it yet. And I have a question: Are the glasses compatible with Targeting HUD Platform (the system which allows the player to upgrade glasses with friend or foe and lootable corpses recognition?
Done! It can be added in the same place as the different color options. It's just the vanilla power armor targeting hud, so nothing fancy, like different colored allies. I don't know how to do that, sorry. Anyway, enjoy!
Love these on my character! Thanks for making this. Any chance we could get some plain black frames? I find the chrome to stand out a bit too much sometimes.

iMaxNumberOfCubeMapsPerFrame = 250
Don't go above 255, for OG reasons.
Nice glasses OP.
Texture issue?
Have you enabled archive invalidation?

I have archive invalidation enabled
I have endorsed anyway.

I am sure everyone will love Targeting HUD Platform support.

I'll have to agree, they certainly do that.
Excellent work 💙
W mod by the way.
