Tested and extensively played with MAIM3 beta + MAIM3 Lite and True Perks v9.4. Right now, MAIM3 is only available via the MAIM Hub!

This patch allows MAIM3 and the True Perks perk overhaul mod to work together. Both of these mods have significant opinions on how perks should work, and I’ve made some choices (described below) based on what I think is fun (I enjoy loot reduced, harder damage, action RPG gameplay).

In all cases I’ve tried to keep the spirit of True Perks, while applying some improvements and boosts to damage and combat skills in line with MAIM3’s expectations. In places where things like “non-automatic weapons” is defined, I kept True Perks’ definitions. One larger area is damage progression. True Perks has a lower than vanilla damage progression in skills like Big Leagues and Commando of: 15, 25, 35, 45, 55%, while adding additional, new effects (crippled wounds, knockdowns, increased damage percentages by level, etc.). MAIM3 progresses more similarly to vanilla. I’ve slightly boosted damage effects in between True Perks and what MAIM3 would offer, and combined effects where it makes sense or seems fun.

Changes

Big Leagues 1-5

  • Damage progression from rank 1 to 5 changed to: 25->40->75->125->double
  • Kept True Perks additional effects

Commando, Gunslinger, Heavy Gunner, and Rifleman 1-5:

  • Damage progression from rank 1 to 5 changed to: 25->35->50->75->double
  • Kept True Perks additional effects

Iron Fist 2 (Buffness)

  • You gain Health equal to four times your Strength, and unarmed attacks have a chance of crippling a limb.

Demolition Expert 

  • Moved grenade throwing arc to Rank 1 (yes, that has nothing to do with MAIM or True Perks, but I like the throwing arc and think it’s better at rank 1 of demo expert).

Life Giver 1-3 (Serendipity)

  • Gain True Perks damage avoidance chance and vanilla additional +20 Health per rank.

Medic 1-4

  • True Perks Medic bonuses, and MAIM3’s crafting.

Solar Powered

  • Battery duration effects from True Perk retained.

Sniper 

  • Combined True Perks increased range and MAIM increased breath hold duration.

Adamantium Skeleton 1-3 (Strength of Atom)

  • Combined True Perks reduced limb damage, fall damage, and increased armor from radiation, and MAIM’s worn armor weight reductions (you’re welcome!).

Crafting

  • Glowing Bloodpack moved to the MAIM crafting category.
  • Stimpack recipe adjusted to MAIM’s (2 acid, 2 antiseptic, 2 adhesive, 1 steel), requiring MAIM’s Medic 1 (not True Perks Medic 2 + Chemist 2) to craft.
  • Radaway (“Ca-DTPA Injector”) requires MAIM’s Medic 1 (not True Perks Medic 2+Chemist 4) to craft.

Leveled Items

  • MindWipe (TP) and all the MAIM chems added to Leveled Lists
