About this mod

Brand new version with a complete overhaul to hopefully help you either save some in game build limits and/or add extra ideas to the settlement crafting. I've literally tried to add everything I could imagine using myself that's not in the vanilla version already.

After reading the comments on my previous version/versions of all my mods I took it upon me to improve myself and them. I learned things that I didn't know (some of the tutorials I watched didn't explain everything I needed to know).

So here I am, back with a brand new version of Cheap Building. It is a complete overhaul and everything from the previous versions have either been renamed, textures removed or new pieces added. So any previous versions will need to be deleted or replaced as it will not work. I did this because I wanted to make things easier to mod my end and hopefully make it better for you guys as well.

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO THEN?

It basically gives you low poly/triangles for crafting homes, defences, junk walls, stairs, ladders, planting plots (you had to purchase DLC for them but there's no need for it now) (things that limit builds without using mods to remove this limit) and a lot more.

PATIENTS ISN'T JUST A CARD GAME,

I've added so much content and tried to seperate it into useful sections that you might get a bit annoyed, but once you get used to the options and how I've planned it out you'll be making new homes and gardening before you know it.

BUGS?

I can only test things so many times (it's been several months since I started this mod again and I've spent countless hours testing it the best way I can). If you do find a bug then I'm sorry but I did the best I could. So use the bug section on Nexus to inform me of any, and I'll do my best (I can't promise) to fix it.

DO I WANT DONATIONS?

NO! Modding is supposed to be about having fun and knowing people around the world use my mod makes me happy. When you expect or want money for a hobby it turns into a job and I don't need one of those and it also ruins the hobby. So I hope you enjoy my 100% free mod.

INSTRUCTIONS,

I tried to make some, but it was difficult for me to explain. The best thing you can do is just experiment, 95% of everything snaps to the sides, insides (internal walls and railings for example), foundations and land can be stacked, ramps can be used to deny entry or make it easier for NPC's to walk up instead of using stairs etc. Literally 95% of everything snaps to everything else.

If something doesn't snap and you believe it should (corner posts, edges etc etc) then remove the object like a wall and then snap the other object in place and snap the wall back (making sure there's another wall to snap to). As I said it will take some time to get used to, I've tried to add as many snap points as possible making things a little bit harder but in the end it gives better results.

NEED TO KNOW,

There are 3 categories "Wood, Metal and Concrete". All 3 options use the same models but only in one of those textures. Caps are now only needed for LANDSCAPE plots (grass, sand etc). Everything else uses 1 unit of the same texture (I thought it was best to use materials instead of cash).

WHY IS THERE ONLY GLASS?

I prefer this version and I got thinking the more holes/gaps there are the more the game slows down.

BUILD LIMIT!!!!! - NOTE THAT THIS MOD IS ALSO MADE TO BE HELPFUL, SO PLEASE BE AWARE THAT SOME OF THE OBJECTS I INCLUDE ARE LITERALLY FOR DECORATION SO DO NOT USE IF YOUR PC ISN'T POWERFUL ENOUGH (gap fillers etc).

PHOTOS,

I took loads of screenshots to give you an idea. Landscape ramps no longer exist (they just looked rubbish) and not everything is shown as there's just too much to show you.

THANK YOU, I HOPE YOU LIKE MY MOD. BGD00
