Cool mod! I'm using the Xbox version, and so far it is a really fun gun to use. I made up some lore as to its existence: The Brel Submachine-Gun was one of many marvels designed by Blake Robinson, an enigmatic but talented designer, born 2048. In 2070, in response to calls from the U.S. Army, he would design a submachine gun to compete with the imported Sterling, Heckler & Koch MP10, M&A Grease Gun and the Stent Security Solutions SMG-10 (10mm SMG of Fallout 76), an upgrade from their previous model (the one seen in Fallout 3 & New Vegas). Innovative even for the high-tech period, it was unique in a number of terms; the gun featured a top-mounted ejection port made to accommodate a special telescoping bolt that was built internally, requiring a button connected to the firing mechanism to be pressed to rechamber the gun. Next, it used a unique magazine and mag well, which were loosely attached to the gun, with the connection broken by the press of a button. This press would allow the user to rotate the magazine and the mag well 360 degrees, similar to the Sten of old, but this time, allowing the gun to fire in every configuration, whether to facilitate easier handling, recoil control or concealed carry, mixed with the foldable stock, allowing for many to be shipped to separate locations. On both sides of the gun, small knobs reciprocated in and out with every shot, with them all staying in being a sign that the gun was empty. Despite its innovative design, reliability issues plagued the mechanisms, causing jamming from misfeeding, stuck knobs flying out when the gun was fired, and the magazine getting stuck in the magwell, amongst other issues. Therefore, it was ruled out of the competition to be the replacement for the SSS SMG-5. Nevertheless, like the M&A Grease Gun, the Brel was accepted for limited production as a spec-ops submachine gun. The manufacturing was handed to Electric Appliances and Contracting, manufacturer of the 'Select' series of firearms and tools, and led by the enigmatic Charles Kelly, with the submachine gun being christened 'Brel', for the first letters of the designer's names and the 'el' of electric. In a limited production run of 24, the weapon had only a few examples produced thanks to its complexity and the redirecting of materials to other weapons. It was deployed with spies and marines during raids on Chinese installations in both Alaska and mainland China, where at least one was captured and examined by the Chinese in early 2077. The nuclear war led to many examples being destroyed, or used by their previous marine owners to survive the post-nuclear wasteland, though by the 23rd century, almost all examples were lost or deteriorated beyond repair. However, a single pristine example survived, stored in the fallout shelter designed for the Mayor of Boston, who obtained it via a friend who smuggled one after he left the marines, kept hidden in a footlocker, untouched by the rioting crowds that stormed the shelter during the Great War, ready for a certain survivor to find... However, the Brel's legacy didn't just stop there. Due to a severe lack of effective submachine guns that the raiders could use, they would look the Brel, the only kind of inspiration they could find thanks to the rarity of a Sterling as a Vault-based weapon, and they found the Brel. Taking inspiration, they would design a submachine gun similar in look, but lacking the unique features of its inspiration. Nicknamed the 'simplified submachine gun', it would opt for a similar look, but with a right-side ejection port and charging handle, with the complex internal firing system replaced by a simple open bolt design, and rechambered in 9mm, but keeping some similarities, such as magazine and general look. Using captured examples, the radical chapters of the Children of Atom that lived in the Commonwealth and Maine would use it, modified similarly to the Radium Rifle, irradiating the bullets and causing radioactive damage, as a ballistic substitute to their energy weapons and their Radium Rifle. Ironically, they returned to the Sten in its design and mechanism. Specifications (unmodified): Ammunition; .45 ACP Firing Rate; 90 (rounds per minute? Idk) Range; 107 feet Accuracy; 66% shots on target Weight; 6.7 pounds
This is just a headcanon, but it was honestly fun writing this lore down, hope you all enjoyed the read!
(But year I know of where you got it. Seems not many people are playing FO anymore so just all the kids downloading the currently well going P-mags- no not "pull-mag", you know exactly!, which is definitelly not much effort to create. Just let Chat GPT create a fallout style pic with woman on it, swipe it on the new cover and finish- you can do it yourself!)
Yes I agree, not only modding. It's not art nor much effort if AI working for you which shall be appreciated more if not using it and doing everything on your own effort. As I already said on some other pages and things, AI will cripple humanities creativity and sense of reallity
Please vote for this mod for mod of the month. There's only one week left, and we can't allow AI GARBAGE nsfw magazine covers to take a spot instead of this MASTERPIECE that took actual HUMAN talent, skill, and effort to create.
Every single weapon mod out there has broken power armor impact land anims, it's incredible you have them and they work properly. This is THE most complete weapon mod out there. Amazing work seriously.
is there a special way to replace vinalla guns with your mods I've tried with the chinese pistol and this one and I can't seem to get them to work like other mods
