About this mod

Ya like old 80's Mech shows? Want some more cheese in your Fallout? Here ya go, one pack of weapon sounds lazily cobbled together from some of my favorite energy weapon sounds from games and my irresponsible gigabyte of Gundam/Macross sound effects.

DESCRIPTION

If you're like me, you might've grown up on old cheesy mech shows like Gundam, Macross, or hell even classic 80's Transformers. As such, there's a certain nostalgia for the corny soundscapes those shows had. I've been running with this custom sound setup for my game for a WHILE now and figured it was about time to update it a bit and share it.

In this pack, you'll find loose sound replacements for:

Plasma Rifles, of three flavors (except automatic, see the requirements) forged with recordings of the Halo Infinite Plasma Pistol and various mech sounds I had on standby.

-Single Fire
-Sniper Shot
-Scattershot

Laser Rifles, of the single shot flavor, using recordings of the Fallout 3 Lasgun blended with the GM's Beamgun sound.

Laser Pistols, of the single shot flavor, using recordings of the Fallout 3 Lasgun blended with the Autobot's classic blaster sound.

The Alien Blaster, made using a combination of the CEA Plasma Rifle, an old Macross Alien gun, and the vanilla sound slowed down to get that VATsy tail at the end of each shot.

The Assaultron NPC's hyper death laser, blending the vanilla sound with the SDF-1's main gun.

The Eyebot NPC's dinky laser pointer, using an """enhanced""" GM Beamgun.

The Wattz 3000 Laser Rifle, made using the original Wattz 2000 sound from Fallout 1 blended with the Gundam's Iconic Beam Rifle.

As stated above, no automatic sounds in this pack as of yet. I use an automatic weapon sound rework that utilizes the single-shot sound for automatic fire. It tends to sound a lot better and have less clipping, along with meaning I don't have to tinker with Wavosaur and sound loops.

As these are simple loose weapon sounds, I see no reason as to why it shouldn't function with the modern update. I don't play it, but that shouldn't restrict those that do from enjoying my Queso de Mecha-cano

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1) Download the files manually
2) Place the "Sound" folder in your Fallout 4's Data Folder.
3) Load up the game and test your guns on the firing range.

If your ears are assailed with the screams of 80's Queso, congrats! Mod's installed successfully. If anyone wants to throw together a FOMOD by all means go for it, as of yet I know not how.
