As per AFK 33114 this mod will also be in UFO4P 2.1.7 and later, PRP may or may not also include it depending on when the next stable lands (if before 2.1.7, then included) to fix the precombined side of the issue.
The interact-able version (the FURN record or NPCBusStopSit01) can be safely updated by this mod.
The static version (the STAT record or NPCBusStopSit01Static) cannot due to precombines. (It's only like 13 instances of the bench, really, compared to the other 72 that aren't static.)
I'll have the CK consider this mesh update on the next PRP stable run.
For the userbase, the mod is safe to install, just the precombined references won't be changed due to how they are built before hand (for those that follow PRP's development, this occurs in the precombines phase of building and considers the meshes that are present at build time).
Cool. I'll update the description page to include a mention and a link to the Previsibines Repair Pack when it gets updated, and keep this mod online for people who do not use the PRP.

I didn't progress far enough to encounter those yet, and would like some clarification.
Installing this mod on a vanilla game won't break anything, right? It just won't fix the benches that are part of a precombine, correct?
If it does break something, I'll have to consider removing the mod.
