If only there was a mod which only increased zoom speed and not distance...

Oh lord, thank you. That slow, crawling transition from 3rd to 1st was driving me bonkers.

I struggled with this for a long time without finding a solution by tweaking the settings. I constantly swap from 1st <-> 3rd person while playing and your mod has made my gameplay so much more enjoyable. I hope you are doing better by now and keep up the good work.

Any change you could add in a feature that stops the "blackout" you briefly get when you use a scope?

That is related to the Sight Time mechanic, which determines the time it takes to go from gun at hip to aiming down sights. It has basically nothing to do with this mod, so I don't expect the creator is going to prioritize it but there might be other mods on the Nexus that do this, maybe if you search Sight Time or Scope. Best of luck!

      That's awesome! I'll try it out! :D

      EDIT:
Didn't let me zoom in further at all :(
Editiing the min values in the ini didn't change that either.

It's working for everybody else...Try copying the values and put it in Fallout4.ini at the bottom. No need to have the esp this way.

Definitely not working for a closer zoom in (and I doubt it is for anybody).
The zoom out works as described.

Ini edit has the same results. It was also installed correctly before. As said: the zoom OUT function works. But zooming in closer than in vanilla is not possible with this. The game goes into first person at tghe exact same distance as before.

Sry, I misunderstood your first post. This mod doesn't let you zoom further in 1st person, it only let's you zoom faster and bigger distance when you zoom out.

So what now? Am also curious about this. Any way it's possible to zoom in closer?

Yes, it is, it has to do with FOV settings and the control of your right click mouse.

Did anyone find a way to zoom closer to your character in 3rd person? I hate how it jumps from like 8 feet away to BOOM 1st person. UGH

Is there any way to use this without changing the default minimum 3rd person zoom level? By default, with this installed, the camera is back farther than usual in 3rd person and you can't zoom in closer without it going into 1st person. I like the extra zoom out and zoom speed, but I don't like the it changes how close you can zoom in. I tried editing the zoom.ini, removing every line except for the zoom speed and increment, then refreshing the .ini, but nothing made a difference.

I think a lot more can be done once we have proper tools for scripting. Ideally I would make it with sliders for options ingame.

Agreed, that is my only caveat too. If only there was a way to space the zoom "clicks" out but still maintaining the default range for the closest setting. My optimal version would more or less be an add-on from the default zoom settings where you can simply keep pulling back to the ranges exhibited in this mod. Anyway, thanks for your work, I'll be excited to see what you can do with the proper tools.

I tried also diff settings but I guess it need scripting.
