This makes absolutely no difference at all.  The FPS shown is 59-60 during game and loading.  Still takes forever to load.  I hardly think Bethesda would have made their game this stupid, it's not going to wait for a graphics card to load stuff into memory.

Im pretty sure you need to unlock the framerate so it goes above 60 during loading screen

it doesn't go up, still stays capped and fucks up the physics for some reason.

I want to add that this does NOT work with Horizon and breaks references if you use it. :( Sad because no way to speed up load times in Horizon but oh well.

I used other mods that unlocked framerate and I could load hella fast like 6-7sec ingame and then 5sec to fast travel everywhere (with a 2021 nvme). Still I don't like having 1000fps in the loading screen and GPU load full, modern GPU have a tendency to have coil whine so to be safe I just went without it... the nvme still does a great job without buffout, privateprofileredirector and other mods that help with loading stuff not 5-7sec... maybe double that but still fast I don't mind... night & day vs HDD tho

But as stupid as it sounds, yes, fps helped to load faster.

you guys should buy ssd, it doesnt work at all even u have ssd, the reason why fallout 4 sucks at loading screen bcoz it ties with fps but increase the fps amount of fps in loading screen not gonna make it load faster, it depend on your gpu, cpu, ssd, my advice, buy nvme ssd

incase you fast travel to boston, most demanding place, load times basically took 1 minutes, if u fast travel to sanctuary, load times actually much faster because the place its not demanding at all unless you build settlement there too much

i mod the game and make it more demanding, it took like 3 minutes to load

    my pc specs
    gtx1070
    r3 3300x
    16gb ddr4 dual
    ssd

I'm running it off an NVME drive, still has the long-ass load times. This issue is not and has never been tied to hardware - that's a myth. Bethesda screwed up and they never fixed it. That's the problem.

Turning off vsync gives a huge boost - showing that the loading is indeed tied to the vysnc, as idiotic as that is, meaning you'll get 60fps vsync loading no matter what hardware you have.

      I second WKT...

      I'm running:

      4TB M.2 980 Pro

      64GB 3600Mbs Ram

      i9 10900k

      RTX 3070

It still takes me ages to load, this is a firmware problem not a hardware problem. Mr Todd sucks, he made a good set of games but added crappy aspects.

I used to use this mod and it changed so much the load speed, because when you play with vsync on the load screen use your fps speed so with vsync your speed goes at 60 fps but if you unlock fps in the load screen for example at 200 fps you will get a 3 times faster load screen, so getting a better video card doesn't change the load speed, it only depends if you play with the vsync off or on and I play with the vsync on so I need this kind of mod

I did everthing as intented, ENBoost came with all the settings equal as suggested in the descripcion. However the screen tearing is unbearable, It works like a charm, less load times, no mouse imput lag but tearing is kind of a deal breaker, seems disabling vsync out of my Nvidia panel override anything in the game config or the enb itself, but fps stays on 61 (default setting) any help? Can I use "let the application decide" type setting, or adaptive vsync instead? I really want to use this, thanks

Ok seems I figured it out:

I had to disable triple buffering on the nvidia panel for it to work, by default (global) config seems to be ON

Hi, i am sorry to bother you guys; but i am not very experienced in this cituations...

I have forced turn off vsynch in gpu control panel.

It works. My fps is off the limits. Half part is complete.

The only problem is; well i can't turn it on (vsync). I can't limit my fps to 60. I am hitting the "home" key, and it does'nt work.
I have tried to assing "u" "y" or "insert" keys, did'nt work.

I have no idea, but maybe it has something to do with numpad not working with the game anymore? Can anybody help me on this?

(By the way: I believe it is one of the most increadible ideas, turning it of and on again. Even if can't make it happen, tnkx)

Actually where the instructions say to change "EnableFPSLimit" to false and then to set the limit to 59, that in itself is a conflict. Pointless changing the FPS in the limiter when the limiter is switched off because it will ignore whatever amount you set. Odd instructions.

As far as I remember the game normally runs at around 30fps with V-Sync on, so definitely turn that off and follow all the instructions listed. HOWEVER, keep "EnableFPSLimit=true" and change the limit to 59 or anywhere up to 90fps if your computer can handle it. Any more than that and you will run into many in-game issues like getting stuck when trying to access computer screens and audio line skipping and world effects like rapid tree swaying etc.

The loading times are still very reasonable with V-Sync off and FPS limited to 60. The downside, of course, with turning off V-Sync is the screen tearing. Personally I will take the slight tearing to the horrible immersion breaking long loading times.

      Hope this helps.

The OP's post is freakin' classic. Pretend he's an AID's patient in real life and he says: "Hey guys, I have AIDs and can't cure it, any help? Oh nevermind, I figured it out!" as he /walks off into the sunset not looking back.

Not sure if it is not too late to reply, but I had a similar issue until I 1) disabled Vsync in FO4 settings / ini and 2) set the 'Vsync-mode as 'fast' in the Nvidia Control Panel. That did the trick.

lusjanochka Did that keep vsync on or did the gameplay go crazy as fallout 4 is tied to vsync
