About this mod

This mod swaps ammunition used by Skibadaa's Personal Minigun to standard 5mm round used by vanilla Minigun.
Enemies using it will also drop standard 5mm ammo.

OVERVIEW:
  • Personal Minigun now uses vanilla 5mm ammo (same as vanilla Minigun)

  • Enemies using Personal Minigun will drop vanilla 5mm ammo

  • No balance/damage/stats/numbers changes, no location changes

  • Highly compatible - minimal edits - only 3 formIDs edited, no records removed, no quest/LL script changes from original mod

  • Can install mid save even if you have the weapon already - it will automatically switch to new ammo. (If the weapon doesn't want to fire saying it's missing ammo just drop it on the ground and pick it up)

  • LL injections done by original mod are not touched, just the ammo dropped by injected formID LL (i.e. into enemies and vendors) is swapped to vanilla 5mm...

  • ... which means you can install this mid save even AFTER you used LL injection in Miniguns Rebirth, from now on enemies and vendor will simply have vanilla 5mm ammo instead of custom 5mm Rifle ammo (might need to wait 48h for vendor/cell reset if 5mm Rifle ammo is spawned already at given vendor)

  • Load after Miniguns Rebirth in LO (should be forced automatically as it masters to it)
  • ESL flagged ESP



TECHNICAL DETAILS:

1. Weapon edit (FormID: FEXXX066 Skb_PersonalMinigun)
  • <DNAM/Ammo> change from Ammo5mmRifle "5mm Rifle Round" [AMMO:FE03C068] to Ammo5mm "5mm Round" [AMMO:0001F66C] - changes ammo weapon uses
  • <LNAM> change from : LL_Ammo_5mmRifle_Bulk [LVLI:FEXXX069] to LL_Ammo_5mm_Bulk [LVLI:0005BBAA] - changes ammo NPCs using the weapon have on them

2. Leveled Item edit (FormID: FEXXX069 LL_Ammo_5mmRifle_Bulk)
  • <Leveled List Entries> change from [Lv1] <5x/17x/25x/36x/43x> Ammo5mmRifle [AMMO:FEXXX068] to [Lv1] <5x/17x/25x/36x/43x> Ammo5mm [AMMO:0001F66C] - this changes the ammo spawned by LL injection on enemies and vendors.
I could have change the injection quest itself and remove 5mmRifle ammo and it's LL item completely, but not doing it allows to install this mid-save (even after you have 5mmR ammo already on you and/or you did the LL injection - which I suggest you do to spawn weapons on enemies/vendors/BoS)

3. Container edit (FormID: FEXXX148 Skb_AmmoBox_5mmRifle)
  • <Items> change from 700x Ammo5mmRifle [AMMO:FEXXX068] to 700x Ammo5mm [AMMO:0001F66C] - this changes the ammo in the container in Concord near where you first find Personal Minigun
