i want to add a screenshot but when i hit print screen the game crashes every single time it does save the screenshot but its hard to get something good unless you take a few
You could try to hit F12 for screenshots as well (images are saved in the steam userdata ... After you quit the game, steam will first display the thumbnails with the option to view them "on disk" ).
A bit late reply to you, for all i know you have found a workaround by now. If you still experience that your computer freezes when taking a screenshot with the vanilla game you could try using a ENB and then assign a preferred key for screenshotting.
It's not for the game, it's for a video series in which at the end of each episode user screenshots are showcased, also there is a description for the mod, there's even a video for crying out loud...
Do you mean how we can know which screenshot Gopher will use ? if that is the case look at the end of each Mod Vault video he makes -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1ue2Qsc59k&list=PLE7DlYarj-Dc9DITuQ4OSjy5kYvcYxy1V
Ive been getting a few messages from people about what mods i use, so i did a copy from my own NMM mod libary, nothing fancy, just a black and white copy. There are no hyperlinks included (lazy ass that i am, sry) but mod name and creator of the mod should be enough to find everything on nexus. I didnt want to spam Gophers "POSTS" section so here is a link to a google document (13 pages) ->
I added some pictures already, one of them uses an ENB, one of them I edited in Photoshop and two are original Fallout. Kinda hoping to see one of my pictures in a mod vault soon so that I know what gopher prefers :P
You don't need ENBs to get a good screenshot. The one I uploaded has only texture packs to make it look better, the rest is just capturing the moment/setting up the shot. And if it's for a screenshot then FPS doesn't matter because you only need to have the graphics cranked up for a short time that doesn't involve any gameplay
I can't find your screenshot but I guess you're right. Still I do think that the best pictures happen during gameplay so if I'm going to get an ENB I want one that I can play with as well, otherwise I'd just have to close and reopen the game for every screenshot. Probably not an issue for people who know how to deal with the whole ENB and reshade stuff but I'm still fairly new. Right now I'm pretty happy with my pictures even without post processing within the game. I uploaded a black and white version of "Waiting" just now, wish there was a way of deleting pictures because now that I look at it, I do think this version is a tad bit more atmospheric.
"It's the taking part that counts" Apart from that, ENB or Reschade mods usually can be toggled in game, just read the authors' DESC page to learn which key to use for switching on/off.
Honestly I've tested out a lot of ENBs and stuff lately and I think the picture itself is more important than whether it has DOF or not. So I made up my mind and I'm not using an ENB anymore, the only thing I do is edit the pictures in photoshop to give them a bit of a blue tint and some dust particles and that's it. I'm happy with how they look right now. I'd like to thank you all for your words of encouragement :) Looking forward to seeing your screenshots in the mod vault soon :D
