Making Unique Weapons a little more interesting...
This is series of patches, designed to spice up the quest-reward and world-placed unique weapons in the game by replacing them completely with *actual* unique weapons, taken from modded weapons here on the nexus. In general, I've tried to pick weapons that feel and act unique. Weapons that use ammo types they normally couldn't, while sticking as close as possible to the vanilla games asthetics. In some cases, I've also swapped out OP or boring legendaries for ones that fit the weapon a bit better.
A replacer patch is available for every single legendary unique weapon in the game...
The individual patches do the following
- Replace the specific unique with the specified modded weapon
- Disables the modded weapons injection, the modded weapon will now only be found as a replacement for the vanilla Legendary Unique.
- Some of them replace the vanilla legendary effect (see description)
- Some of them include esl-ified replacer plugins for the weapon mod.
I've also included some of the older alternate versions of the patches in the Old Files section.
All the patches at least are ESL flagged, and won't take up a spot in your load order.
How to Install
Install Vanilla Uniques Framework
Install any patches you want (and any requirements listed for the file)
If you want the entire set, you need to download all the patches in the Main Files section. Yes I know it's annoying, but it's modular by design (and the file description does not have room for a list of 23 required file links).
Start a new game. Most of the unique weapons spawn as soon as you exit the vault, so if you add this to an existing game, you won't see most of the changes.
Alternative Options
In the Old Files section, I've included some of alternative patches. These are no longer supporter, but I've made them available for people who want them.
This mod relies on Vanilla Uniques Framework to do the replacing. If you already started the game but had that mod in your load order when you did, installing this mod will replace the base item, but not the addons.
