It's great to be able to explore the rooftops, especially when, after playing FO4 for a while, the climbable ladders to previously unexplored rooftops create a never-before-seen place to view the Commonwealth.
I understand that life gets in the way all the time, so it it'll be nice to see some more at some stage. No pressure though!
The player home you described at Diamond City sounds good as well. Again, no pressure!
Commenting again to say I seen your mod was featured in Degenerate Dak's youtube video this morning and it reminded me about it all over again. I was also wondering if you had anything to share in regards to updates.
Right now I've got some real life stuff going on, but whenever I get free time I'll be continuing to add ladders everywhere. The big area planned is a way to parkour up to the freefall legs in mass fusion because right now the ways to do it aren't very engaging for normal players and it's not as if the freefall legs are very OP in any sense so. I'm also working on a mod to add a player home to the hidden concession stand on top of diamond city stadium, but there's a learning curve there since I'm a little new to adding interior cells and stuff. I'm trying to have it set up like Elianora's Red Rocket home, but with some way to purchase a key or an attached quest of some kind.
To the mod author. Finally got to install it when re-deploying the mods in my game. Works fine and give interesting spying and sniping points. If I may make a suggestion, please make a map of where the ladders are located. Not a highly detailed one, but say for example you could mention : ''Concord 5 ladders''. That would not spoil the fun and yet encourage us to explore the general area.
Otherwise it is a nice implementation of neeher's work. Thanks!
Yeah I could prolly do that at some point. There aren't very many as of yet to be honest. I haven't played Fallout 4 in a hot second now so I haven't added anymore ladders yet.
For everyone's reference there are only ladders in Concord, in that ghoul infested town near paladin danse's outpost, and that first satellite outpost you visit east of sanctuary. Oh and one on the billboard next to 111 and I had put one so you can get on top of diamond city stadium on the outside. The last one is a little out of the way to get to. Look for the little walkway I put across the walkway in the sky and you can figure it out.
Would this mod conflict with the CC "Tunnel Snake Rule!" quest? The CC quest goes into a loop mode after leaving the subway station. Switching between ESP and ESL doesn't make a change. Climbing the Commonwealth mod was the last mod I installed but who knows what was the casue.... I had never had this problem before.
I also play Horizon and I have a Horizon patch for the Tunnel Snake Rule! mod.
Update: I returned to the railway station and no mission was triggered.
I am using v1.1.1 esl, but I am still unable to use the ladders during combat (animation starts then disrupts itself), which makes them 80% useless since there's usually a hostile nearby in my game.
The first staircase in Concor (coming from Red Rocket) is bugged. When reaching the top the character passes through the building and falls. sorry if it sounds strange... (Google translator)
uhm, I only use two mods that modify the skeleton of the character. 1: Skeletal Adjustments for CBBE. 2: Discrete Female Skeleton... so that might be it
I have the same issue and i don't use any mod that adjust the skeleton of the character, the only way i could reach the top is by walking back just a bit the moment the animation ends
I am also experiencing the same phenomenon. The same phenomenon was observed in locations other than Concord. I was using "FOV Slider and Player Height" to make the player's height shorter, so I thought that was the cause, so I reset the height to the default and was able to climb the ladder normally. Some of the ladders seem to be arranged so that the player cannot climb them unless they are at their default height.
Tracking. This plus the Rooftops mod could finally add levels to Fallout's worldspace in a way I've been wanting to see for years especially if you manage to get around to downtown Boston. Good luck with development! :)
You know, I'm coming around to the idea of building around the rooftops. I might load it up and see if anything is conflicting with my mod before I release the update this weekend.
Forgive me, I'm not a modder, but I noticed a 'kinda" plug-in conflict between this mod and Another Pine Forest. The very first ladder leading to the toolbox on the billboard outside Vault 111 entrance, is somewhat merged with a pine tree from Another Pine Forest. If anyone could help with a patch to fix this, I'd really appreciate it.

You'll be delighted, I'm sure, to find that yours is the first mod featured.
EDIT
Bollocks. Doesn't want to play now that I've embedded it.
