oh god i thought this was going to be useful by displaying all the settlement names as the starting template, but its just formatting for any spreadsheet. I'll start using this at work immediately :P
While I wouldn't necessarily call this a mod, it IS an excellent spreadsheet for tracking valuable info. This is especially true once you start getting around 20-ish settlements and above.
You should consider adding SS2-relevant fields such as Mayor, City Plan/date if last level-up (if any), number of each plot type and their levels, etc.
Haven't tried Sim Settlements 2 yet, but I should try it. Anyway, everybody is free do add to this file, change it, etc... It's just an excel file I created to 'play' the game while at work. (whenever I have time offcourse... ;) )
I'm using Personal journal holotape mod for this. It's more handy. The only drawback is limited space per row, so you have to keep your spreeds compact. Most usefull column is ID tho, its not fun spending time looking for settlers when they stand in a weird spots like UNDER THE BRIDGE in Sanctuary )
If you are getting to 20ish settlements: a) You are spending an inordinate amount of time transferring by hand data from your save game into an external application. If that is what people want to do - knock yourself out. b) The external application you are transferring it to (Spreadsheet) is poorly suited to give you the best return on that time investment you've spent doing a). ----- For 1-5 settlements - sure - a Spreadsheet is probably all you need. Stop. No need to go any further.
For 10, 15, 20+ settlements? You want the power of a proper Database application to give you quickly the answers to complex questions that a Landlord Mogul would want to act on. At those numbers - you are a full blown upper level manager - you don't have time to be drilling through multiple spreadsheet pages to find the answer to one question on each of them.
1-5 i can do on a napkin IF there's only a handful of metrics, but 37 and hundreds of attributes i'll need a spreadsheet thanks. I dunno what settlement management features sim settlement has but Horizon is complex as hell and there's zero info about settlements in it. I'd normally throw something like that in the bin for being so obtuse but goddamn Horizon is mad addictive.
