So, I made the mistake and installed this and played a bit without actually realizing it doesn't work with ENB DoF. That's all on me. Now, I rather avoid uninstalling mods and luckily this one comes with the option to disable it via MCM, but I am still wondering, out of curiosity, how safe/unsafe would it be to uninstall it mid-playthrough?
Clarification: With not working, I mean it uses the game DoF, not ENB DoF. Makes total sense when you think about it. Unfortunately, I have the game DoF disabled because it looks horrible during conversations (dialogue cam) and the DoF during reloading is kinda annoying when in gun-fights. I saw a comment from the mod author that he wanted to add an option to disable it during combat, but I guess he forgot.
Note to myself: Stop downloading/installing mods while sleep-deprived at like 2 in the morning.
you should never remove mods mid-save, aside from retextures or remeshes. i would recommend leaving this installed but disabled for your current save. if you really want to, you can open the mod in xedit and stop all of the quests and remove the perk from the player using console commands
I can't get this to work on latest version of NG (with everything updated).
I'm starting a brand new setup with very minimal mods, just all the "utility" stuff like F4SE, X-Cell, ENB etc etc.
I turn off ENB and reshade, made sure DoF is enabled in my .ini, I have the requirement (up to date) etc. It just doesn't work :*(
Any other troubleshooting steps I might have missed?
Oh... also, it shows up in my MCM menu and I can change the setting from "normal" to "strong", but when I actually reload, literally nothing happens.
Please ignore me, I am a moron sometimes. I had DoF disabled in my .ini files. (I thought it was enabled but I had a second identical ini edit set to =0 which was overwriting.
does the mod work while using Power armor? Because here on Nexus have an mod that does the same thing but gets broken everytime the character use Power armor, basically everytime i use Power armor the mod doenst work anymore i must quit the game and reinstall to work again.
nah not a stupid question, i had to test it myself while i was making this too lol. but yeah you need to have DOF enabled for the imagespacemodifier to work, that's a vanilla thing that i havent found a workaround for yet
You had suggested editing 3P ImageSpace records to bring the blur effect closer to the camera, but for the life of me, I cannot pinpoint where I can find those values. There is nothing specific to 3rd Person, unless it has an obscure tag/heading. Any pointer is appreciated, as I want incorporate this into my load order, but this minor visual issue keeps me from doing so.
Facepalm moment. I was looking in the Fallout.esm this entire time. Never crossed my mind to check the mod itself. Thank you for the redirection hahaha. Worked like a charm.
Such a cool Depth of Field effect this mod adds when reloading Weapons. Tested it on quite a few in my review and can confirm it works and is Awesome! Endorsed
