nmm or vortex load orders does not matter because when you load the game bethesda changes the load orders regardless if you f4se loader or not. I always need to change my load order every time i load the game to get my body slide to work. This mods load order changes as well.
On contrary to the instructions, I found mine by using FO4edit and manually searching for the (filename) mod, then under containers - there should be the 8-char code found in the record header row.
Also instead of simply replacing the single x in the id, you might need to replace all the zeroes before 8a0. I found mine to be fe1298a0 - that's along shot from 0x0008a0.
You can also manually search it on console and it will depend on how many results you have, if you can see it or not. I typed "help workshop 4 cont" and it should show up as CONT: Workshop (XXXXX8A0) 'Workshop'.
This could've been much easier if the label for the item is much more specific like "BuildAnywhere_Workshop", "BA_WS" or "BA_Workshop" instead of simply "workshop" so the help function can easily distinguish it among the other assets.
I started playing again and re-installed this mod, and didn't have issues before. I had marked the mod as "light" in Vortex mod manager on the "plugin" list by clicking the "feather icon" which was the only thing I did differently. In-game the load order number in LOOT was a 3 digit number and wouldn't spawn the workbench. After reading a post below about " _ _ 0008a0" being 8 numbers/letters I tried manually to change the load order by editing the load order in LOOT, but that didn't work. The only thing I did different was marking the mod as "light" so I changed it back to "mark as regular" and went in LOOT and clicked "sort plugins" and it changed the load order to a 2 digit/letter combo and re-deployed the mods in Vortex. I went back in-game and put in the code in and the workbench spawned. I don't know if it could be anyone else's issue, but it could be, because it works now! Yay!!! So thought I'd share this. Also, marking two other mods that weren't showing up and changed those as "mark regular" and showed up in-game as well. Update: I have the Fallout 4 NG update also.
I'M GUESSING this mod is long since dead, but does anyone have a solution, when i type in placeatme and then 0890008A0 it gives me this message not found for parameter object ID..
i've tried half a dozen times, it just doesnt work, so i'm not endorsing this, until i can find out what is wrong.
Did you manage to find out what's wrong? I have the same issue here, I play in Survival so this mod can really help me out, too bad it works like sh*t.
I just used the mod and it worked. The prid you typed has 9 characters, that's the problem. The format is: ~ player.placeatme xx0008A0. Where xx is the octal value of the mod in the load order.
you can do the exact same thing in god mode by typing player.placeatme c1aeb then hold down the build key. The workbench will be crooked but you can also use the command disable and it will still be available, just hold down build key when in god mode in game. I use place anywhere and usually place a large tree or vehicle on it to cover it up. ;)
First you need to set you load order in game by clicking on the tab called mods. Second when you get in game if you set the mod up right all you will need to do in game is ~ then type Bat Settle hit enter and the code will be on the screen by its self and close out of the ~ key and the bench will be set.
Hey man, this mod is great! I use it all the time, but hope you don't get upset that I use it alongside another mod. I can build anywhere there are no workshops, or no settlement markers. I went to Concord and Lynn Woods and Lexington and Corvega both interior and exterior and went cazy..Guess? It turns raiders into settlers wwithout and fighting? Can you believe that? Don't know what it did, but it does.
Oh, one other thing. I use this mod(yours) alongside the no limit building and no hieghts limits also.
I know nobody will probably see this, but if your having trouble finding the code for the workshop. Type help Workshop 0 CONT in the console and look for the one that ends with 8A0. You can use pageup and pagedown to navigate the console.
Read the instructions. You don't type the X, you replace it with the load order number of the mod.
For me, now and then I have to add a number as well. I don't know why. For instance, if mine is at 44 in the list, I have to type 45 instead. So, 0450008a0.

pretty sure everyone KNOWS there is a godmode alternative.. and the reason they're even IN here getting bothered is because they decided they didn't want to USE godmode...
I seem to be having the same issue spawning the workbench. According to NMM, Buildanywhere.esp is load order 09, index 10. I've tried both these values (along with 1-13) on the .placeatme 0x0008a0 command with no luck. Any words of advice, anyone?
You will need to change the order of your mods in game if you dont they wont work. I loaded the game and clicked on mods and redid the load order and now all of my mods work. I only have have to do is ~ then type Bat Settle and the code of my load order is set by its self and close out of ~ key and the bench is set crooked but set. I cant use it tho because it says i need to kill all enemies in the area.
it will break precombines, meaning if you scrap enough in the commonwealth that roads, buildings, etc. won't properly load causing the game to CTD or just sometimes you'll be walking on air with a lot of glitch

its .placeatme 0X0008A0 where x = mod load order number of which the mod is in
if anyone knows a way to make custom way point lemme know ill add it
if anyone wants to rebuild the quest script, its under QUEST tab called "Workshop Parent"

Fast travel away & return.
So far works well, I just haven't figured out how to assign settlers.

Love your mod man, keep up the good work.
Mine was "0A", so my command was " .placeatme 0A0008A0"
Have fun!
