Could you possibly add a different audio for the beam attachment? it's so quiet it makes me think my hearing is off when I fire it in the middle of all the normal volumed audio. I know realistically it should be quiet, but it also makes it feel weak and constantly breaks my immersion with that weird static whisper noise.
Sorry, I've been slow on updating this. I will soon. I've already fixed it in the main mod. Have you checked out Energy Weapons Fixed yet? It has everything in this mod included. I have also already rebalanced the burst fire there.
Glad to hear you'll be fixing this, I prefer the lightweight addition of just the beam attachment of this mod compared to the other, I have tried that one and enjoyed it, but still ultimately prefer this one.

One thing, though - since installing it, all normal/Institute Laser weapons have the name "Piggy Bank" for some reason? Eg "Piggy Bank Institute Rifle" etc.
Thank you for letting me know. Can you tell me what attachments are on the gun, so I can pinpoint the cause of it? Also, it's not happening for me, so double check for me that it's my mod causing it.
It's only with the Standard Capacitor mod on either of the Laser or Institute Laser that are doing it, and only when your mod is active.
I've had a look in xEdit and I spot in your mod's "dn_LaserGuns" Instance Naming Rules, there's an entry for "Piggy Bank" which is showing: Keyword [0024a403] <Error: Could not be resolved> though.
I'm still on Old Gen, might that be it?
Note that it's in no way affecting the weapon performance, appears to just be a visual thing with the name it has when I view them.
Thanks for narrowing it down for me. Yeah, it sounds like it's a bug if your not using the updated game version. But it's a simple fix. I've uploaded a patch.
Cheers! As I said, I'm almost entirely certain it was just the game getting confused about which "prefix" to add to the name, not affecting weapon performance in any way that I could tell, but you never know what flow on effects tiny-seeming bugs can have. Glad you're on top of it though!
A continuous laser for the Assaultron Head would be awesome. Maybe stick a fusion core to the bottom, have it drain that to fire, and let it act more like the actual Assaultron head laser (complete with movement and aiming lockdown while firing, to give it some extra risk.
