This is pretty great idea! My mouse cursor is always getting in my way! But any chance for a version for us ultra-widescreen users? I'm running 3440x1440 and the cursor is definitely in a BETTER position with this, but not completely out of the way. Okay, I played with it a bit more and it's weird. When I first enter VATS the cursor is placed about a quarter of the way up and to the left from the lower right corner. But subsequent presses of Q shove the cursor down out of sight like it's supposed to. It's only that first press that doesn't seem to be functioning quite right.
