"Compacted for ESL" means the FormID of a mod's plugin have been set to the range for ESL. It does NOT mean the file extension was changed to "ESL". Maybe the extension was changed to ESL to force a high load order or maybe it was kept ESP to make installation easier and overwrite an existing ESP of the same file name.
An ESL file is just a plugin with the .ESL file name extension. They load high and can be good for avoiding worldspace conflicts.
Some of my Power Armor files are ESL flagged ESP. That IS an "ESLified" file. That file name still has the .ESP extension. They do not count against the ESM+ESP plugin limit but do allow moving the file in load order.
Do I need to install the hotfix for this mod or no? I installed the main one, the 4est edit and then the hotfix after. Went in-game to check the location of the Bethesda Comics and couldn't find anywhere near or close the Wilson Atomatoys Factory.
I'm having CTD when I try to enter the Bethesda Comics building using this ESL file, tried it with the hot fix file and without As soon as I take the ESL off I enter the building without any issues and no CTDs anymore.
I'm using the latest NG and F4SE versions (maybe that's why).
xEdit 4.1.5f can do some CRAZY things just when adding or removing a master. This is an example of it changing a nav record after adding a master. I could not find any bold record within the mod's new CELL but the cell itself was bold as if it had been changed. It was changed.
Confused about the instillation instructions. The need for the main TES is obvious but then it says to install the hotfix which is just an esp. But then the big red bold part says to remove/hide all esps and only have the esl active. So the hotfix esp is still needed or no? Sorry for not being able to understand lol
You are correct. I apparently copy/pasted from another spreadsheet of mine without thinking about this ESL version. Ignore the line about the hotfix and hide the main mod esp. TY. Page Edited.

Edit: Nvm, I went to the wrong Wilson HQ, my bad.

Just thought I'd let you know, cheers.
