No ballistics, just hitscan, this is styled around Munitions so it's meant to be a pretty baseline mod, anyone can make a mod that adds ballistics to this mod
Feel free, I will say, this mod may have some "conflicts" with CC as the only ammo types I'm excluding are ammo types present in Munitions, as this is mostly BEST used with Munitions, but it can still work the same with other ammo mods, there just may be like slight balancing/style differences
So your telling me the more ppl use this, the less 9mm smgs, and pistols will be made? Well now that will be a nice change of pace, keep up the good work!
Something I would like to see is more variety in shotguns gauges. .410 and 20 gauge are nice to have from munitions but I would like more for different times in the game. For example having something like 23 or 26 gauge for more early to mid game variety. 16 gauge is a good choice for some more of the tougher threats in the mid game, and something more powerful then 12 for the bullet sponges in the late game like 10 gauge. 8 gauge can be used for more some of the more ridiculous bullet sponges in the later game.
not necessarily, this just expands options from what we have in vanilla and Munitions, this is made to work alongside whatever ammo mods you're running due to it's seamless integration that the mod author handles
Also more shotgun shells are for sure on their way!
That's how I expected it to work, it being able to work with the calibers in vanilla was a given, and munitions would be more surprising if you guys did not add compatibly with it. All it takes now is for moders to use it, now that I think about it, shotgun shells are not the only thing that should be expanded upon. I think a few more intermediate rifle rounds are definitely needed, as for what theses calibers could be? IDK. Some cowboy calibers would be nice like .30-30 Winchester, .45 Long Colt, and .35 Remington to name a few. Can't wait for moders to use this, and other ppl to make some patches for other mods.
I won't be doing specific ammo types such as .45 Long Colt, since I tend to go towards vanilla calibers such as .45 Caliber representing numerous .45 rounds, including .45 Long Colt. So .35 would be the most likely one you mentioned, but as .35 Caliber rather than .35 Remington.
Best way I can explain is with 12.7mm in Munitions and New Vegas. In New Vegas, 12.7mm represents two different rounds, .50 Action Express and .50 Beowulf. .45 Caliber in Fallout 4 represents 2 real rounds and a potential 3rd fictional one. .45 ACP (submachine gun), .45 Long Colt (pipe revolver), and some rifle length .45 (Combat Rifle). Fallout 76 even doubled down and instead of using .45-70 in Fallout 76, used .45 for the Lever Action, making 76's .45 Caliber represent about 4 rounds.
So I'm going by that philosophy Fallout's had for a good while now, allows more flexibility and a more streamlined ammo pool while still having good variety, hope that clears it up!
yes, because they'd be utilizing the same esl and loose files, so it would be as if you just "updated" the ammo mod, which means it acts like shared ammo between mods
