hey do you think you could make a version of this mod that replaces the night vision and thermal vision from the west tek tactical optics mod by fadingsignal with this.
I tried using this NV replacer with Better Default Scopes which seems incompatible, its a shame since you'd think they change different properties of the scope overlay.
Very, very cool mod, looks a million times better than the vanilla green, and it's still really easy to patch it onto modded weapons, easier in fact. If only I could figure out how to add the effect to west-tek's tactical optics I would be the happiest camper.
I did notice though that the last few records in the dynamic night vision scopes patch (alien rifle through handmade rifle) had the wrong enchantment and zoom data set but it's super easy to fix.
Pretty nice. It is a bit to bright for my setup, and I would like to be rid of the blurred edges. I find it hard to believe that is still around. I used an M16 equipped with a Starlight scope before heck was a pup, it used vacuum tubes back them, was very heavy, and lots of blur. I will try to tinker it up a bit for my set up. Thank you for sharing.
I really like the look of it but how can I get this to work with 'see through scope - night vision' (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/62775)? I tried loading this plugin, without the dynamic nv scopes patch, both before and after STS-night vision but it still used the vanilla night vision overlay. This mod does still work for the long night vision scope since STS-night vision doesn't touch that.
Oh good point, I hadn't thought of that. I'll look into it tomorrow. If possible, I'll have an update for it tomorrow as well. But I wouldn't recommend using see through scopes NV scopes as the whole screen would light up instead of just what's in the scope. Unless I'm mistaken. But until I get an update out for it, this mod is fully compatible with see through scopes, so you could just use one of the standard NV scopes, so long as you didn't use the replacer version of See thru scopes.
Cool, appreciate the effort. I'm still using your mod for the long nv scope, but I think it would be a nice relief to be able to see your overlay and avoid vanilla scope zoom at the same time.
Looks promising, have you tested with ENB or any of its presets like Reactor? Just curious to see if the effects would still work or need additional patching.
I haven't but it should be fine. unless you're using an enb that makes everything super bright. If your enb make everything super dark, you'll definitely be fine tho lol
