So I've tried a few mods like this one but because of the simplicity and ease of patching, this is by far my favorite. Could you possibly make one (or two) for drinking? One for alcohol and one for everything else would be awesome. There is a mod that does this already but it works differently than yours and I haven't figured out how to add modded items to it. Adding to its formlists doesn't pull from what's actually in your inventory, it just gives you free items. Either way, thanks for the mod!

I'm not currently modding FO4, so if I did decide to do something similar, it would be at a later date.

      I'm glad you're enjoying the mod. :)

Had baked bloatfly from the sanctuary flies to test, wouldn't work, says 'you are out of available food'.

Nvm, that's a 'buff' food so it skips, my bad.

Actually, can we have a version that just eats anything cooked? For those of us that don't care about the buff and just want to keep the hunger menu topped off?

I assumed that's what this did, I always manually sorted and ate the worst value/weight ratio, to sell off the highest when I hit up a vendor, but I didn't read the description well enough to notice the buff food stipulation. Can't delete my post above so here it stands for anyone else who makes the mistake I did. I would use an all-food version though, or let us be able to set certain items to a skip list.

I truly love this combined with advanced animation framework. Now I'm just hotkey to munching away at whatever without popping menus open and searching for stuff. Thank you. Endorsed.

this is a godsend of a mod. I have a hotkey for water and cigarrettes (for mods that make cigarrettes postpone the need for sleep), but looking for food is always a drag.

Would you allow me porting it over to xbox, with full credits to you and a link to the Nexus page?

    Thanks!

If you do, would you kindly update the permissions tab on the mod's main page to reflect the authorization?

      Cheers!

i have a mod that already does this, but it does have some issues with the late game script, sometimes it leaves my inventory and i have to go to the MCM to get it back in my inventory again, the mod itself comes with a lot of other options in the use of the mod, so it's set to eat the most filling or the least filling, and the user can make these changes at any time, and i like that feature because sometimes i need the better food items over the least helpful items.

i need a mod like this to work for survival and that one does ok for the food but not the water, it for some reason adds alcohol in the consumable list, i never drink alcohol in this game, it's way too non helpful especially in survival mode because that's a death sentence in survival mode lol.

You can hotkey purified water directly so there's really no need to have a mod for consuming water.

The purpose of this mod is to feed you. It's generally best to feed with the least filling first because they all mostly weight the same, so it's much more efficient to eat through the lesser value foods first.

If you need better food items for whatever reason, that sounds like a use case where one should manually eat the food rather than relying on one button to do it all.

in the late game it's not too bad because even when the script slows down i can just switch to the vast list of items i have on hand, so i normally have like over a hundred death claw or the deer animal, suddenly i can't remember what they are called lol.

but yeah i'm looking for a mod that does both food and water in a single button at least in the beginning of the game, i use the food for both healing and because of survival, you can't use stim packs in survival like you can without being in survival, it's defiantly highly used in the playthrough.

this is that mod i was talking about.

as i said it's a good mod, it just comes with lag issues in the late game and essentially becomes useless.

Well my script won't cause any problems, I can assure you, as it's as simple as it gets. There is always a cost for complexity, which is why I rarely use other people's mods and instead make my own.
