About this mod
TURNS FALLOUT INTO A GHOUL APOCALYPSE! This mod spawns more ghouls, changes their AI, and makes them slower but harder to kill. It *doesn't* replace any creatures in the game. Existing ghouls have a high chance of spawning more, increasing their numbers. Other creatures spawn ghouls that form pacts and walk the roads to Diamond City and back.

This mod spawns more feral ghouls, legendary feral ghouls, and glowing ghouls. It changes the AI for some and makes most of them slower but harder to kill, except when you are accurate enough to shoot them in the head, which kills them with one shot. It does *not* replace any creatures in the game. It makes other creatures spawn them, instead. Existing feral ghouls have a high chance of spawning one more, increasing their numbers. Other creatures have a high chance of spawning feral ghouls who form pacts and walk the roads to Diamond City and back. I mean, ghouls aren't zombies, but if you want a zombie apocalypse feel to the game without it becoming ridiculously challenging, this mod is for you!

🎁 WHAT YOU GET
The mod adds these enhancements to the game:
- More Feral Ghouls Inside: Wherever feral ghouls gather indoors, there's a chance you'll encounter more of them, especially during the daytime. The thought is they prefer to avoid daylight, so it's more likely to encounter them inside during the daylight hours.
- More Feral Ghouls Outside: Wherever feral ghouls gather outside, there's a good chance you'll encounter more of them, especially during the nighttime. The thought is they'll be more likely to leave buildings and hunt at night.
- Feral Ghoul Walkers: Throughout The Commonwealth, you'll encounter feral ghouls traveling the roads in packs, especially during the night. I mean, it just makes sense they'll go hunting for prey, instead of waiting for the dinner to come to them! Right?
- Harder-to-Kill but Slower Ghouls: Most feral ghouls now move 25% slower, but require 4 times more damage to kill when hitting their torso. Arms and legs still require the normal amount of damage.
- One Weakness: Existing and spawned feral ghouls now have one weakness--they can be killed with one shot to the head. This goes for legendary and glowing ones, too.
⚙️ HOW THE MOD WORKS
The mod doesn't replace any creatures in the game. Instead, it adds a "spell" to existing creatures that causes them to have a percent chance of spawning a feral ghoul as soon as they load into the game. Some effects of the mod are:
- Ghouls Spawn More Ghouls Inside: Most feral ghouls who are inside (who are in a building or other interior location that requires a loading screen to enter) have a 50% chance to spawn an additional feral ghoul during the day, and a 15% chance to spawn an additional feral ghoul during the night. Glowing and legendary feral ghouls who are inside have the same chance, and a 100% chance to spawn a second feral ghoul.
- Ghouls Spawn More Ghouls Outside: Most feral ghouls who are outside (who are not in a building or other interior location that requires a loading screen to enter) have a 75% chance to spawn an additional feral ghoul during the night, and a 25% chance to spawn an additional feral ghoul during the day. Glowing and legendary feral ghouls who are outside have the same chance, and a 100% chance to spawn a second feral ghoul.
- Other Creatures Spawn Feral Ghoul Walkers: Most "bugs" and "rats" (Bloodbugs, Bloatflies, Stingwings, Rad Roaches, and Mole Rats) who are outside (who are not in a building or other interior location that requires a loading screen to enter) have a 75% chance to spawn a feral ghoul during the night, and a 25% chance to spawn a feral ghoul during the day. Glowing and legendary versions of the creatures who are outside have the same chance to spawn one, plus a 100% chance to spawn a second feral ghoul. The spawned ghouls won't attack the creatures who spawned them. They will instead head for the nearest road and start walking in a pack toward Diamond City.
- Leveled and Legendary Spawns: Like existing feral ghouls in the game, the ones spawned by this mod are leveled. That means, as your character reaches higher levels, the feral ghouls spawned will be able to take more damage and will have higher resistance to damage. There is also a chance that leveled legendary feral ghouls and glowing ones will spawn.
- Easy to Identify Spawns: You will know the feral ghouls, legendary feral ghouls, and glowing ones spawned by the mod because they will each have an asterisk (*) at the beginning of their names.
- More Varied Ghouls: The feral ghouls spawned by the mod will have more variety than the existing ghouls at lower levels. For example, at level 1 there's a chance you'll see some wearing Raider armor, which you don't see until at least level 22 in the default game. However, ghouls like these still have the same hit points and damage resistances as the lower-level ghouls. It's the the ghoul's name, not the way it looks that determines its hit points and resistance.
